bUAkronG
Is probably not what you think. It's Western Michigan. Quote Mid-American (23) Top seed: Akron (24-7, 14-4). The Zips struggled late, dropping three of their past five, including two at home. But they do have a 4-1 record against the other teams with first-round byes (Ball State, Ohio and Buffalo). Top threat to the top seed: Western Michigan. Yes, the Broncos (16-15, 11-7) have to win four games in four days to take the MAC. And a month ago they were 7-15. But they closed the regular season with eight straight victories and are already through the first round of the tournament after holding off Miami (Ohio) on Monday. Minutes pick: Western Michigan. It'd actually 4 be games in 6 days, but who am I to nitpick. source: Forde Minutes: Conference tournament picks, potential spoilers and more
skip-zip
I'd think you'd have to be wary of any team who's won 9 straight games. I pointed this out as soon as I found out that they were likely our Semifinal opponent. But, the mojo would definitely be on Akron's side with the way we've dominated them. kreed5120
I seriously question his knowledge on MAC basketball if he doesn't even know there is a break between the 1st round and quarterfinals.
zippy5
I don't think they've beaten a team with a winning record. Plus KD owns Hawkins. I'd go on a limb and say they scare me the least of any team that made it to Cleveland.

In fact, Ohio is the only team they neat the entire season with an RPI above 150 (121). Also 6 of those 8 wins came at home. I would probably agree that they scare me the least, with the exception of maybe Toledo.
clarkwgriswold
They're the hot team (kind of like when we were playing Radford and Coppin State).
