zipsrule Posted October 7, 2017 Report Posted October 7, 2017 Iowa St. now up 38-31 with a few minutes left in the game. Quote
zipsoutsider Posted October 8, 2017 Report Posted October 8, 2017 Nice win, especially with a back-up QB. Quote
skip-zip Posted October 8, 2017 Report Posted October 8, 2017 Much like the Troy thread, I guess we might have to look back sometime and see all of the posters who claimed that Iowa State was crap. I don't usually like to compare opponent to opponent to opponent. But, you have to feel a little better about our home loss to ISU after seeing this. I also wonder if the Suckeye fans paid much attention to the team who trounced them at home looking like a very average football team today. 2 Quote
LZIp Posted October 8, 2017 Report Posted October 8, 2017 Great win with your back up QB, from Stark County no less. Quote
ZippyRulz Posted October 8, 2017 Report Posted October 8, 2017 Campbell said after the game he may no longer be a 3rd string QB. Quote
K92 Posted October 9, 2017 Report Posted October 9, 2017 Paul Finebaum calls the Oklahoma loss "the most embarrassing of the season". Quote

Almost up there with App State beating UM a few years back. ISU is a P5 so it isn't as bad though. But still bad. I am waiting for the day that Akron has the big upset. 1 Quote
LZIp Posted October 9, 2017 Report Posted October 9, 2017 (edited) Almost up there with App St and Michigan?! LOL. We will see how it looks when the season plays out. I would be its more along the lines of 6-6 VT beating OSU. Edited October 9, 2017 by LZIp 2 Quote

Iowa State > Oklahoma (in Norman, OK) > Ohio State (in Columbus, OH) Suckeyes, indeed. I love the transitive property of sports. Quote
Cykron Posted October 10, 2017 Author Report Posted October 10, 2017 Here is a current map of the imperialism of college football. The season started with every school owning the counties closest to them. When they beat another school, they get all the counties owned by that school. Bottom line. We own the state of Ohio! Quote

I suppose you probably are well qualified to make judgments on dumb things. Just kidding. I couldn't pass that one up. Or maybe you are just a sore loser Suckeye fan. Again, just kidding. The jokes on the low branches must be picked. If you think this is the dumbest, then it is clear that you haven't been paying attention to my other posts. There, we can leave it at that one. Quote

Cykron Posted October 17, 2017 Author Report Posted October 17, 2017 Kyle Kempt, a walk-on from Massillon, OH, is now our starting QB. He is a redshirt senior who had an offer out of high school from Matt Campbell at Toledo. He went to Oregon State instead and it didn't work out. He went to a JUCO and it didn't work out. When Iowa State hired Matt Campbell, he called almost immediately and said he would walk-on. Apparently, you Ohio guys really trust each other! Quote

LZIp Posted October 28, 2017 Report Posted October 28, 2017 You all better be ready to pony up @Cykron . I'd imagine Campbell is going to be in high demand. Quote
skip-zip Posted October 28, 2017 Report Posted October 28, 2017 They are a garbage program. They should have never beat us. A couple of people on ZipsNation said so. Quote
