xu9697
& you are going to the UC game, I think you will definitely like Nippert Stadium. It is nestled right in the middle of campus, and they really have done a nice job buidling around the facility (including nearby soccer & baseball fields). It is the type of stadium that I think many of us wish for Akron to build.GO ZIPS!
72 Roo
I think some of the posters were thinking UC has a stadium that is as rundown as the Rubber Bowl. Nothing could be further from the truth. It's a great place to watch a game. Completely rebuilt/restored and crying for a high quality team to play there. Maybe Dantonio will build one yet. The only sad comment is regarding the attendance. UC plays a schedule better than ours but draws poorly. I for one would love to have a Nippert clone on Exchange Street. bearcatfan
The only sad comment is regarding the attendance. UC plays a schedule better than ours but draws poorly. UC opened with a 1-AA team at home, then played Pitt on a Friday night - which is a big night for high school football in this town - probably yours as well. The Miami game should have drawn better as it is a big rivalry.Let's hope for a good crowd this weekend. The Bengals have a bye week (their resurgence has no doubt cost UC some attendance $), the weather will be perfect, and there is a lot going on at UC. Plus UC won last week and that usually gets a few more of the non-hardcore fans to come out of curiosity. If this game were being played in the evening there would be over 25000 - my guess is around 23500 for this one. I hope it's more.

Two words: Vandelay sports.Has as much credibility as Elton Alexander, circa 2005, speculating JD would become Colorado's next coach because...well....JD is from Colorado.
