Unless the OC lets Woodson throw, I don't see how we can keep up. Especially with zero run game. Our last three games on the schedule will be in bad weather, I think the Zips will have to improve their run game to be successful this month. I like what I saw at the end of the game last week. I thought Sands was able to take advantage of the defense over pursuing. Including next week, it will be six games without Ball, and he will still be the Zips leading rusher through mid November. I remember earlier in the season pulling the Guard and running counters through that hole, I don't recall seeing that recently. I thought that was a successful play that was helping to move the chains. Akron is ranked 19th in the country in Red Zone Defense, I'm not overly worried about the Bobcats offensive drives.
skip-zip
We're definitely rotating running backs like crazy since Ball went down. Morgan even got the start last week. I have no crystal ball, but I have a feeling that Sands will be the one to emerge as the primary rusher before the end of the year. I think he has a bright future with us too. With Gauthney out at Center, Erickson has been playing Center. Unless Gauthney returns, we probably will not see it.
Dr Z
Here is the play I speak of. Watch Ritz pull and lead the way. I would like to see a few more of these Tuesday.
