csims0917 Posted September 12 Report Posted September 12 I’m working remote today and watched the volleyball game while I was working and they just got a really nice win. They are now 5-2 and just beat a 5-2 WKU in 4 sets and 2 they had to come back from behind. Fun game. I heard the mac is really competitive but it’s good to see an Akron team getting the job done 3 Quote
Zips1991 Posted September 13 Report Posted September 13 Volleyball and women's soccer both seem to be improved this year, but it can be hard to tell in non-conference. Hopefully it continues into MAC play! 2 Quote
Blue & Gold Posted September 15 Report Posted September 15 Women's college volleyball is a blast to watch. That's one women's sport that when I watch & honestly think, "Dang!! They'd wipe the court with me if I were out there!" 1 Quote
MDZip Posted November 8 Report Posted November 8 Volleyball has won six straight in conference and as of now is in the MAC tournament. Just shut out Bowling Green 3-0 who was tied with them in the conference standings. They have another match again tomorrow. Quote
MDZip Posted November 9 Report Posted November 9 Disappointing loss for volleyball. Up 2-0 and with 3 points of a win, lost the last three sets and now tied with BGSU in the playoff race. Now they have to try to work their way in again at a tough Toledo team. Quote
MDZip Posted 2 hours ago Report Posted 2 hours ago Netters beat Toledo 3-0 tonight. If they beat Toledo tomorrow they qualify for the playoffs (and potentially knock Toledo out since the Zips will finish with the same record and took both games of the series so will finish ahead of Toledo). The Zips can still qualify with a loss but BGSU must lose to Buffalo. The Zips will win the tiebreaker with BGSU. They split their two games but the Zips have a win over a higher ranked team (WMU) than BGSU does. Quote
