Best line:Andy Alleman would be in the NFL and Zwick watching him play I can still remember the four dopey OSU fans behind me at the UA/OSU game telling me "just wait until Zwick gets here"

It was fun to watch him at the game last night. And to see all the other guys that had played at the Rubber Bowl against the Zips over the years (R-berger, Young, Batch, etc).Click for Column
Fun to watch him if you are in the 10% of the public that actually pays for the NFL Network! :mad_flame:

Yeah he must really suck. :wall: He got beat out by the Heisman trophy winner.I am sure that if Zwick came to Akron you wouldn't have wanted him.

Good luck to both of them in the NFL. Always like to see the local boys do well. I wish I would have saved the magazine, but when Zwick was a senior there was a national recruiting magazine (i.e. OSU impartial) that had him listed as "overated". I remember them saying he wasn't even one of the top 5 QB's in Ohio, let alone the country (I believe he was a Parade All American that year). He was definetly one of those players that probably would have had a great career at a mid major.

Woulda coulda shoulda...How different would the career of Zwick be if that TE (Nicol?) held on to the TD pass against TX a couple years back? That drop, and Zwick's subsequent fumble on the last drive of the game, really opened the door for Smith. To his credit, Smith took advantage of it.ZipGrad93

Here we go again, more idiots, i.e. tosu faithful, defending the scrubs in c-bus on a Zip board. Just go away and find another board. Screw Zwick! He should be the poster boy for you idiots referenced above who constantly clamor that the "best" recruits need to head south. Well, good for him, he got to sit the bench for most of his carrer.Believe it or not, the Zips and fellow MAC schools have one of the most important features to offer recruits--Playing time-- yet so many feel the need to go to a BCS school....and sit and sit and sit. Hope he enjoyed those splinters.
