A loss to OU and/or K.e.n.t. and we'll get a marginal opponent. Miami, OU and K.e.n.t. would get the best opponents under that scenario. If we keep our loss total at three or four @ selection time, I would expect to get someone like Butler or a top MVC program...which would be awesome. If we keep playing the way we are we could get a very good team like Creighton, Gonzaga (do they do the bracket buster?), George Mason, or St. Mary's. Come on Akron! It was nice to have smashed a team that played in the postseason, though it wasn't enough.If the Zips take care of business, and are sitting with 2 or less conference losses, I'm thinking they'll get a likely NCAA team in here. The best matchups would obviously be George Mason, Drake, Creighton, Nevada etc... Gonzaga also does not play -- they're too sweet smelling for the rest of us. BUT, having seen St Mary's, I expect them to be top-25 by the time the BB arrives. Alternate teams and venues (even on neutral sites?) every year. I think it would be good for both conferences and for the overall health of "Mid-Majors." Without looking at the current SOS numbers for conferences like the A10 and MVC, I would think it would help SOS and prep for the conference portion of the schedule for all MAC schools other than maybe an Ohio or Miami who had insane schedules this year. And no matter what the A-10 says, they're a mid-major too.I agree a great idea but I don't see the A-10 or MVC playing the MAC. It is not much of a benefit to those leagues. One that makes sense is the Colonial, RPIs are almost identical, draw similar crowds, we don't play each other much now and geographically it would be easy to travel.
