Choose: CMU or NIU

Just thinking about this today..... Since we don't have anything going on for a few more days, does anyone have a preference as to who you want to win today between CMU and NIU, one of which will be our opponent on Thursday?CMU beat us on the road, has one of the best players in the league in Giordan Watson (a guard who we managed to contain the first time), but really beat us with their beef inside.NIU beat us in Akron, but shot the lights out. They are a very athletic team, which sometimes gives us problems. Plus, they may have a real feeling that they can beat us.My preference? I'd choose to look at the two teams overall performance throughout the year, and would still want to play who I believe is NOT the best of the two teams, which is NIU.

Wow..Stupid of me not to notice the change. When did this happen? Haven't the first round games always been on Tuesday at the 5-8 seeds home courts?

Either team is fine, throw Nate on Watson if we get CMU and there is no way NIU shoots the lights out like they did last time (that was the highest percentage by any team in a MAC game this year) if we get them. We'll be fine. What I want is a WMU upset, I'd really rather not see them.

I would have to agree I would much rather play NIU again before I play CMU. We played terrible against NIU I would much rather seem them play us

would much rather have NIU that sf/de that plays for CMU is a nightmare for Akron. NIU shot over 60% from the field and Akron still should have one the game. Also playing NIU the game will not be as physical and Akron will be in better shape against WMU.

Speaking of us being 0-2 against the two opponents we might play....how about Can't St. is 1-2 against Toledo and BGSU...They beat BGSU earlier in the year, but just lost to them recently. You put that along with Ohio on their side of the bracket as well Can't has a pretty good chance of losing in the semi's or the quarter's!

We are a better team than we were when we played either of them before. I want NIU. There's no way they shoot 60+% again.

I'm gonna be pulling for NIU. There's no way they'll be as hot from the outside as they were the first time we played.Interesting 1st round matchups leading to 2nd round opponents:NIU & CMU playing to meet Akron. Both NIU & CMU defeated Akron during the regular season.Toledo & BGSU playing to meet K.e.n.t. Both Toledo & BGSU defeated K.e.n.t. during the regular season.

Agree but I want NIU (as others have said, they were on fiya and that won't happen again). Also would like to see Can't exit early. Should be interesting to see how the Can't bracket shakes itself out. While I'm on "hopium," would like to see WMU go home tomorrow too.

CMU may still win. I just want an easy team so that we can be more rested for WMU/EMU. Hopefully EMU pulls off the upset.

Changing who I want to CMU. One less guy (8 pts, 20 mins / game off the bench) to spell the starters - CMU legs just a wee bit more tired than they would be otherwise tomorrow afternoon? Wishing EMU the best of luck tomorrow too!
