While I will agree mes 102 if the zips end up the season as the #3 seed it will be a successful season. The rest I disagree. To have a great recruiting class you have to have more than one good player. And based on that, the last great class was with Luburgh, King, Young and Cassell. Tecca was not part of that class. How can you say our bench is deep? Kest plays a lot of girls looking to find someone to help the team. In there last 10 conference games the bench has scored 5 points or less in 7 of the games. That is terrible. The one game the bench scored 23 points, Anita Brown came off the bench and she scored 13. When the zips beat Toledo 102-101 the bench scored 3 points. Our starting five has carried this team and if the bench play was just average, the Zips would have the top seed locked up.

Sorry for the late response: I had a dream job in Southern California but the company went belly up. As I was looking for a new job, I got a call from Akron and ended up moving back here because the job offer was better than what I'd been able to find in Southern California. As a child of the midwest (Illinois), I was OK with the four seasons. Best move I ever made. Met and married a wonderful Akron girl who's been the love of my life for the last 32 years and counting.

For the better half of almost three years, the Lady Zips have been much more fun to watch than the Men. I'd say out of the three years I've been watching them consistently, this year is the year they've been the most inconsistent, but I attribute that to the young players. Lady Zips are going to be fun to watch for the next couple of years.

I'm pretty sure the "only been around for a few decades" thing was aimed at me the 20-something . But very nice post Jason.
