Play #3: If #1 and #2 don't work, find the open man and shoot a 3. How much does an Assistant job pay at Toledo...I might be on to something here?

Green Bay plays Valpo tonight also. While them winning wouldn't really help as much since I don't see them sniffing the top 100, it would help to have Valpo knocked out prematurely.

For being a smaller article I actually found it to be fairly informative. In regards to a new arena I feel it had to be assumed that the plans are squashed for now. He stated not to expect anything for another 5 years, but I feel unless the city passes a tax for a downtown arena at some point, which seems highly unlikely, or some big donor comes out of nowhere, we won't be seeing much on that front for 10-20 years when we start paying off some of those landscape for learning facilities. I'm curious as to what plans they have in store to better fill the stadium.

If Big Dog is on the 1st team as a 6th man....he has to be the 6th man of the year right?

Isaiah should be 6th man. Jake started most, if not all games IIRC.

I would have loved to see Kwan on the all-defensive team. But, if Keith gets Coach of the Year, and Jake gets 6th Man again, I'll be really happy. This is OK with me, especially when some great Akron teams in the past never got this kind of recognition.

Spring ball starts next Monday! Will our credentialed members of ZN.o be covering any of it? I sure don't expect to hear anything from the ABJ. Going to try to catch the scrimmages at least myself. I've got the itch!

Probably will be in the minority here but I'd rather go against Toledo. The reason being that I think that Eastern has more natural talent and a higher ceiling. They are certainly not a heady team but when focused and playing well, they can take down anybody in the conference. Yes, Toledo is always a tough out too.Honestly speaking, I'd rather be playing any of the other 6 teams playing tonight than either of these two.

On YouTube you can find a clip of a EMU/Zips game at the Q that was quite close to say the least. Needed a miracle 3 from McNeese. I can't figure out Toledo, but we were a much different team when we lost to them early in the year. In the end, if we are a team that it capable of winning in the NCAA then it shouldn't matter who we play in MAC.

+1 this guy gets it. We should also be cheering against Chattanooga & Stony Brook tonight. Akron is probably ahead of both teams if seeding was done today, but them losing eliminates all doubt.

RPI is now 34. If Iona beats Monmouth today, that will probably bump us up a few points.
