I feel Louisville problem is they play in a fairly week conference so no scouts give them the time or day unless they make it deep enough in the playoffs. I grew up playing football with Drew Kuhn. The kid could straight up ball and was easily the best player that I've seen put on a Louisville uniform. He ended up making the Stark County all decade team which featured players like Dustin Fox, Justin Zwick, Erik Howard, Reggie Corner, TJ Downing, Shawn Crable, etc.. If I'm not mistaken he finished 2nd to Morgan Williams for Stark county player of the year the same year both McKinley and Massillon met the final week of the season at 9-0. I'm eager to see if the ESPN3 crew and graphics reference Zips LB "Ulysses Grant" again on Thursday. I wish I had a picture of the TV screen when that popped up during the Ball State game.

I normally look forward to this match every year. This year the Zips are kicking me in the nuts. We're 7-5-2! When's the last time the Zips futbol team has been 7-5?

Some people just have the need to make themselves sound important.

I despise when people make judgements about the players motivation. If you are not on the team, anything you have is second-hand and you are getting it from one person's perspective and that person, has a bias, whether they are aware, or not. It does no one any good to cast aspersions of character and motivation. If you have something negative to say about a player's character, IMHO, you better be willing to name the source (and by name, I mean name - not just someone close to the team, or someone on the team.). Otherwise, it is better kept it to yourself. These kids have enough to deal with in their lives without grown adults destroying their character on a public forum.

"Something big is going to happen, but I'm not going to tell you what it is" is not information. It's a waste of everyone's time.

A few closing thoughts as we move on from the Ball State game - I liked how Woodson reflected back during the post game interview on his 5 INT's in one half two seasons ago at Ball State. Allowing Kato Nelson to redshirt this year should really bode well for his development as a QB. He'll miss out on those "forced-into-duty-before-I'm-ready" lumps that Woodson endured and be ready to rock and roll in 2018. If Chapman is going to be our short yardage "wildcat" QB, he's got to protect the ball better. He doesn't secure the ball well when he runs. And he runs almost exclusively in very critical situations. Fumbles aren't an option. Another Zips comeback. We've outscored 6 of our 8 opponents in the second half this season. Conversely, we've outscored 3 of our 8 opponents in the first half. We ran outside the tackles for the first time all season. And Van showed some serious wheels once he got in open space. He makes us miss Ball less and less every week. Getting Woodson back was like getting Lane + Woodson back. Quigley did an OUTSTANDING job filling in at center. The OL didn't skip a beat. Damn is that OL gonna be goon in 2017! Bowl eligible in October? LET'S DO IT!!!
