  3. 6' 0", 170lbs WR, K - Avon Mitch Cooper - guessing proffered walk-on as a kicker. I am excited to say I have received an offer to continue my football and academic careers at The University of Akron! pic.twitter.com/3Q494zEgpE

  4. I am sure I heard the announcers call him once. I didn't see him much and was not as visible as he was earlier this season.

  5. I have really been impressed all season with the play of Kwan, Big Dog, and Jimond. Utomi had a monster first half and KD has to find some playing time for this young man on Tuesday. Somebody on this board questions his defense but his defense looked fine on Sat. I am also hoping that KD can find more playing time for Dunn Martin. He clearly outplayed Josh and Noah on Saturday in very limited minutes. Noah had a bad game with 4 turnovers and 2 of his 3 point shots did not even hit the rim. Noah always seems play great at home (Marshall game) but we need him to be more consistent, especially on the road. Antino is the best defender among the guards and forced some turnovers on Sat with good defense. Looking forward to the game on Tuesday. Go Zips!

  6. He always had talent but at some point he became a beast that won't be outworked, he also is a much better person, He is very close with a coach who has been around the Coventry community since the mid 90's when Coach Mo came from Orrville. He was able to stay on staff after Mo and a few coaches but after one of the coach changes was not picked up and Coventry and Harrison don't have a good relationship. He is Coventry's claim to fame and would be great if they could work together in the future. Coventry has a great new school and the football complex in the back looks terrible. Would be great for Community if they could work the differences out and get a stadium called James Harrison Stadium After posting this I thought because of my screen name some are going to assume I might have ties to Burkhart, no ties, I know him from coaching in the youth in Coventry for years and he will be the second on the current roster from Coventry I have coached over the years and their may be a possibility of Sibley next year, he has the ability to play D1 as well and was just showing my support for Coventry and University of Akron

  9. Thanks for sharing B & G. Love to hear good news about my hometown. When the city prospers so does UA. A vibrant partnership is one of the keys to separating ourselves from the myriad of state universities in the midwest. Keep growing Akron!

  10. WR Snodgrass never appeared on the roster and neither did TE Darryl Long. Both were supposed transfers from Kentucky. If you look at Long's twitter, he indicates association with Akron football. Snodgrass' twitter does not. I am not sure what it means if anything, but Snodgrass is also following a bunch of coaches from other schools.

  12. I won't update the roster attached to this page until after signing day. But even then, I've noticed that people will disappear from the roster, to reappear on it months later. I couldn't tell you why that is, but I wouldn't read too much into it until we have an official one released prior to spring training.

  13. One that will likely screw-over the Mid-Majors as much as possible.
