  1. Kato's been fine. There's only one person who thinks otherwise.

  2. And Burkhart is 20th on the receiver list, get the line straightened out & the offense will probably be ok

  4. This is the thread from the humiliating BG game last year. I don't see any of you Arth haters taking up the torch for Bowden during of after that game. What I see are posters who perpetually complain and like to beat, when it's down, anyone or anything related to the university or its sports teams. Someone posted that they wanted the new coach to be a reincarnation of PJ Fleck. His first year at WMU was 1-11. The previous year WMU was 4-8. Craig Creighton is turning around EMU. His first two seasons were 2-10 and 1-11. I realize that until there are marks in the win column it's open season on Arth and AD Williams and Infocision will remain empty. But those who now defend Bowden who went 1-11 is first year or two, had a peak, and then brought the team back to the bottom of the MAC are simply doing so because they just want to hate. -

  5. I think it's a good thing they didn't. There offense would have likely penetrated deep into our territory again and again. Things could have really gotten messy.

  7. Carlo Ritaccio, I am calling you out! Do! Not! Let them shoot! Make every tackle ferocious! 1) Everybody listens to you. 2) You can take it.

  8. GT apparently thinks we should be encouraged by the Zips second half showings. I tend to think a team does better in the second half in those situations in part because the team ahead lets up knowing that the game is essentially over. As such, I can't get too excited by the team's second half performances.

  9. Kato is at number 41 in passing yards in the country with a bad offensive line

  10. At this point, the only positions I am concerned about is OL and DL. Until we can learn to run block and protect the QB, it doesn't matter who we have at RB and WR. On the DL we need to get players that can put pressure on the opposing QB. That is all I care about for the next recruiting class or two.

  12. The O-line had to be a huge concern even before the season started. Thought the DB's would be a little more adequate though. If the lack of a run game is all about the O-line its been a problem for several seasons prior to this one however. This isn't just about Arth and Co. This goes back a while. Since what they are doing isn't working, how about going to a more 'power run' orientation. Use two backs. They did show a little I-formation a few times. Tighten up the formations and make the defenses crowd the line. Use the pass to make them respect the run. Might help Nelson and the Akron D.

  13. Welcome Zippyroo! Nice post. It's refreshing to see a post that discusses the team as opposed to the perpetual p!$$!n9 contest over the coaching (past and present).
