Sorry... it's not about being a fan. Let me translate: Martin's job in in question, so the AD goes as far as watching 2 or 3 practices a week to check up on him to see if he's doing his job right. It's always a bad sign if the AD is looking over your shoulder that much.A true fan of all Can't State sports, Kennedy typically attends two or three football practices a week. He sees first-hand how the players listen intently to instruction and work hard. The intense preparation by the coaching staff and players was evident. -
ditto. My first choice was Xavier and second Dusquene, both of which no longer have rifle teams. I had offers from better shooting schools but between money and the feel of campus I signed to Akron extremely late. It wasn't until I got there that I realized how good of a psychology program they had. Top 5 I/O Psych program and even housed the Archives of the History of American Psychology. This is sort of like a confessional.I admit Akron was far from my first choice as a school when I went there. I'd done very well and could have been accepted a lot of places (and was), but no one could quite give up enough scholarship money to make it affordable to attend there...

Because I am a former student athlete, alumni, and person who is passionate about sports in general.

I voted for the Red Hawks because I can't stand the two-party system we have (hence why I voted for Nader)

I don't have any "source". I have my GA at Robs and asked how the scrimmage went and what I wrote was what he said. I always understood they were closed so they could be considered scrimmages and not games and it would seem weird to assume that the players are under some sort of secret code about what they do. To me it's as equivalent as asking how practice went that day and them responding that they did a lot of fast break drills.Rifle ...even if you get a name to go with the face .. please keep it quiet. These things are closed for a reason. If you've got a source that's reliable .. fine, but it's ok to not reveal the source. Might put the kid in a tight spot.Thanks.Go Zips! -
I was just going to start one. I asked one of the freshmen (will be able to give name once their pics get put up on gozips.com) how it went. He said that it went pretty well and even though it wasn't a "game" game, they lost to xavier each half by 4 points.

I think he has a special Akron Stumble!Captain...I don't know how you find these things.I will say, I personally find Bill to be the most approachable member of the coaching staff. A very talkative and friendly guy. And he has tons of experience at several programs. I'm glad to have him here. -
damn... we let that one go
