Was looking at the boxscore of our prior match up -v- Ball State and I see we won despite shooting 5/23 from 3. If we play with the level of D we did last night and shoot anything remotely close to our season averages, I can't see how we don't win.

It gave their guy his 4th foul and took him out of the game. I had no problem with it. Noah was obviously wanting the foul, but not sure if he didn't shoot because he felt he would get blocked from behind or if it was because he was wanting to get their guy out of the game. Edit: I suppose he could have also felt that he would be able to draw the contact and make the shot.

Are you seriously trying to compare O'Brien to Matta? Nobody said they didn't care about basketball. What was said is outside of a brief period in the 60s they've never been a historically great basketball program. They are football power, not a basketball power like UNC, Kentucky, Kansas, etc. Matta made OSU basketball nationally relevant again the same way Dantonio made MSU nationally relevant in football. MSU shouldn't fire Dantonio for 1-2 down seasons and OSU shouldn't fire Matta because he had 1-2 down years.

OSU is a football school and before Matta their last run of consistent success was in the 60s. If you feel OSU has underachieved in the past 5 years, it's because you're measuring it against what Matta built, not how OSU has historically performed.
