I think first either Bowling Green, Kent, or Miami need to lose the last three games or we need to win our last 3 games If we finish 8-11, we are set. At 7-11, we need a lot of help and a team to totally collapse. The best option is for BGSU to lose their last three games. Unfortunately, we need to count on PCCC to beat them tonight which is well... you know.

I'm excited! Central lost last night which helps. Also, enjoyed seeing Ball State lose at home. Cardinals were the victim of a questionable foul call late in the game. I wept.

Arizona coach caught on tape offering $100k for their center.

I have no doubt he is going to get that job. Everyone is replaceable.

Buffalo has been in a funk for several weeks now. They have a ton of talent but are also a very selfish team. Lots of me first players who don't get along well. When things go bad there is a lot of finger pointing. I predict they get knocked out of the tournament before Saturday night.
Sounds vaguely familiar.

I'm sure you can find an earlier post where I thought they would be the worst team in the league this year, because of the key players that transferred out. They were obviously fortunate to bring in some guys who made an immediate impact.
But I'm still shocked that they knocked off Buffalo.
Buffalo finishing like we did last year.

Excited for game tomorrow. Any thoughts, insights, keys to the game anyone other than SkipZip wants to share?

If you have a one game memory
Saturday at Kent, we went from a 4 point lead to a 10 point loss in the final 5 minutes.
Basta!

I watched the game again and that final basket by Ivey wasn't an easy one. I also liked the final inbound play to Malcolm.

I did watch it all again. It might be the best they have played all year, but one thing is for sure they are finally competing for the full 40 minutes.

Well you are "Joe Akron." You probably also enjoy sauerkraut balls.

Thanks LZip....I was too tired to go grab an image of the other one.
Ugh. I hate wings. Gross (not Groce) food.

I think he's been in the doghouse starting with his one game suspension. I think Groce is trying to set an example that will help him down the line if he remains a Zip.
Where is Mark Noble when we need him?

Fewer fouls called on home team. Interesting article on ref bias:

Doesn't tell me much. Only looked at first half fouls.

i can't imagine a group of three referees getting together and saying, "Well, Bowling Green is the home team, so we need to give them a few breaks tonight" or "Since Akron is the away team, we need to call the fouls a little closer on them." I believe that is all urban legend.

Who's on 3rd, hustle 2's on 2nd.
Ugh. I don't even know the difference between a post and a wing.

Who?

Because if you have a one or two point lead with a few seconds left, and your opponent is going to get an easy game-tying lay in, you BETTER be trying to make sure there's no way he's going to make that basket.
So, when I agreed with the other poster who said it was a foul, why did you assume that I thought that was a bad thing? I even stated that I found it amusing that he flexed to the crowd after the play ended, and no foul was called.
Oh.

All made late shots to beat BG on the road?
Exactly.

What one very specific thing do BJ Gladden, Nick Harney, and Jimond Ivey all have in common?
-
Since Buffalo choked AGAIN tonight at Miami, we need to hope the either Kent, Miami, or BG loses all of their remaining games, and we win 2 of 3. BG has two away games and a home game with Buffalo. We would have the tiebreaker with them CMU and NIU. Kittens being the wildcard in that scenario.

BGs Derek Koch grew up about 2 miles from my family homestead in Wayne County. But I still got pleasure in watching Utomi school him.

I was 100% confident they would win.

And a choke job by Western as well. Ugh. We need to win out. Oops. Spoke too soon.
