  1. Dare to dream. A play in game in Dayton would be nice! I hate to talk at large because it presumes a tourney loss. (But that's my choice. Not here to stifle others ideas) And that selection committee errs on side of $ rather than a possible Cinderella who could knock out a Duke or Ohio St type and cost the NCAA big $$ in ticket sales.
  2. Watched a bit of Ravenna/Toledo game. Didn't look sold out. Whatever. That is a horrible place to watch a game. Just getting in there and finding a place to sit is a pain and even many of the seats courtside are benches. When you walk in the JAR, and you are looking for a bleacher seat you can at least assess the situation.
  3. I swear I was only thinking of the Kitten faithful
  4. Hard to know what MAC games to follow today. Guess I'm focusing on NIU and OU. I hope the Kittens win so their fans can come up for air and leave us alone on Zipsnation.
  5. I DVRd the sports center story on the Zips, and it was really cool. All positive. Made our JAR sound like a killing field for opponents. I, having no life on this beautiful day, recorded it on to my phone and sent it to a few folks.
  6. I already read 10 of their lame articles this month, so they have now cut me off! And I certainly won't pay to read GT.
  7. The lower bowl seats aren't "perks" per se. People pay a premium for them. The university just can't give them away. Best thing is to encourage the corporate donors who buy a block of seats to distribute them if they aren't used.
  8. Speaking of free throws, do you all remember when our first point of the game was usually a free throw from Zeke? Many times he would make the first one and then the crowd would sit down in unison and he would miss the second. Always thought can't we just stand for one more shot!
  9. Josh had a couple good rebounds near the end. You can tell that starting five feels so confident with each other on the floor like they have each other's backs. It wasn't a game I want to come home and watch on replay. I'm getting too accustomed to leaving the JAR happy!
  10. I think the missed FTs were just a result of the Zips high energy. Couldn't settle down on the line.
  11. That game is a blur to me. I sort of remember being sort of behind the whole game and EMU making some mistakes at the end. If anything, I think we have smarter, cooler under pressure players than they do. Should have been a Yes/No question on whether Thompson gets T'd up tonight.
  12. I thought we got a letter saying to get the food option u had to pony up much more than $2500. But I was never in that group anyway.
  13. I'm in lower bowl and the 10 seats to my left which are center court, prime location are always empty or partially filled by different people each week. Does give me a place to put my coat Before if you got your tickets from your boss or whoever, you could come and get a free meal and drinks in the TE lounge. Now if you want to eat there its thousands of dollars. I've never been in there, but I get a sense they are looking for a new business model for the VIP perks.
  14. Yeah. Usually when the media starts swarming, the Zips get a little tight. Seems like they prefer being under the radar at times.
  15. See this as an epic test and a match up I mentally noted since last year's come from behind win at the Q. Hoping the Zips maturity will shine and they can keep their cool. After our escapes from them at the Q over the years, they have got to be supremely motivated to end our streak.
  16. One thing I noticed is that Dambrot will do whatever he can to keep fresh legs even if it means the opponent gets a mini run. That depth is what seems to pull us through at the end of these games. When is the EMU thread starting?
  17. The ABJ article was awful. Not sure when according to GT the Zips almost let the game slip away...other than some back and forth in the first half. Made it sound like we were lucky to win. Looked like a good crowd to me. Was surprised when I heard French complain about it during post game.
  18. Woo hoo! There was a guy on Bobcat Attack who can predict better than all of us as he predicted: "Lets try not to overreact to tonight's 15 point loss. We don't match up well against Akron even with a healthy Tony C. Without him, we are in for a rough night."
  19. Meanwhile in Ravenna...
  20. Oh boy. Things just got ugly. Quadruple technicals.
  21. Any Mac team would start Kwan right now. His swagger is on a different level.
  22. Those who picked Antino...Good job.
  23. I remember being at the game when Noah injured his ACL. I remember he was attacking the basket at the time. Maybe it was on a steal. I'm no sports shrink but it must be on his mind in those situations.
