Once I got home, I watched the end of both the Zips game and the Kitten game. It may not have been Freeman who tipped the missed FT BUT that tip made the difference. OU game is a cautionary tale about how 1.7 seconds can seem like 10. OU went up by 2. Refs added some time. Now the Bruins don't have to just tip the ball. Belmont makes amazing pass just past half court. Guy catches it and immediately calls time out. Refs add more time again. Now it's like 1.3. Belmont throws it to top of key and they make the 3. I thought it was tacky for the Belmont students to rush the floor after beating an average MAC team in a season-opener. But, hey, it's the South.

The reach in call on Garvin was a garbage foul that also changed the game.

Zips were very close to being in same spot. Had Freeman not tipped the missed FT I think SDSU would have won. (It would probably be wrong to head over to Kitten Attack and enjoy their rationalizations and meltdown)

Cant be mad at him. As X said after, the STEAL was what mattered.

Good interviews after game. 1. The steal was more important than the lay up. 2. Missing the 2nd FT used up time. 3. Hankerson impressing Groce. ( I always likes NIU as a program more than Ball State.) 4. Hunter has green light for 3s, but he wasn't on floor in crunch time. Looks like Nate taking Dawson's place.

So Groce and players will walk up there for interviews. Well, we need them Courtside for away games more I guess. But what a boneheaded decision. There are two other guys sitting over there Courtside. Not sure who they are

There's a new player throwing down 3s in warm up who looks like Tyler Cheese. And, yes, have to admit these plastic seats are awful.

ugh...Clark, I came on here to type just that: we watch garbage product in a beautiful setting and an excellent product in a much rougher setting. I guess for me, i have so many good and exciting memories and a few bad ones as well that make me feel good when I walk in the JAR. But when I walk into Infocision I'm overcome by dread and negativity. It's just an awful experience watching Zips football (someone improved without Keith Kennedy) Tommy Evans lounge is pretty bad. The food they serve now looks quite good but its such an awkward room to eat and or socialize.

i think it's a great place to watch a game.

That 3 game skid PCCC, WMU, and NIU felt like an eternity. Of course, how the PCCC game ended sent us and apparently the team into a spiral. Then they dumped Trimble and won out.

As long as its not the black uniforms with the "Z" i'm good with them. And this should make all the anti-script Akron guys happy
