My thought on this stretch of games (Kent to CMU) was that the Zips needed to go 4-1 heading into Toledo on Friday.

These guys found a way to win in front of a really nice crowd. They were clearly worn out. Trimble: there's that "rule" in golf that it's difficult to follow a round of 61 with another really low round. Good mental conditioning for March. They certainly won't EVER be looking past the next game.

Spottsville, once again, blows his crucial FTs @ the JAR. How many of these games have we sat through at the JAR? Plenty. To me, no big deal.

Toledo got their revenge on OU tonight. And with a comfortable lead and a minute left Toledo's Milner slammed one home. Humiliating loss for OU at home.

not to digress the thread, but I hope he is sending his $$$ home to an American bank because it could get really ugly really fast over there.

Anyone remember our favorite Huron, James Thompson IV? He plays for a Russian team in Siberia. Siberia can't be much different than Ypsilanti. The Russian league is one of the highest paying: "Although the max salaries for Russian VTB United League teams are enticing the average salaries are very interesting as well with players making $200k-450k USD for the season. Now there’s motivation to deal with a Siberian winter."

In the final minute of the WMU game they had 2 or 3 offensive rebounds that could have spelled disaster. OTOH, their extending the possession allowed Akron to almost run out the clock for the last shot. BTW...great poise by Ali, keeping his cool as he dribbled out the clock.

Another one of those "were you there?" games. The "commentary" misses much of the game ending drama, including Eastern missing tons of FTs. Also, you can see Channel give his back for team at the end.
