Groce politely mentioned the importance of graduation, etc. But when he praises something other than a player, I often think he is biting his tongue and just being diplomatic. I think covid, more than the masks, will keep some away or gave them an excuse not to renew. Most of the usuals in my section are back, but I can count about 12 who I haven't seen this year.

Xavier mentioned in his post game interview that he met Groce while Groce was at Illinois and that's why he turned to Akron when UCF collapsed. That differentiates him from KJ.

I guess scheduling Southern serves a purpose but this is brutal. Down by 15 Southern amped it up exponentially. Zips will learn from this I hope. 11 minutes left...ugh.

I like the script Akron. And the men's uniforms are all script Akron, so appears to be the branding. Problem with the Z was that it didn't mean anything. Was the first letter of Zip. I really hated the all black basketball uniform with the Z on it

Yes, I turned on the game and was aghast. These are similar to the basketball uniforms the "school of design" created for Mr. Pinky's team.

Thanks PDT and GP. I rather thought the same thing about Utah. They play much better than their ranking. The announcers said they switched QBs after the two early losses. Anyway...welcome Coach Moorhead.

I love the 7pm Saturday night games!! Groce mentioned in his post-game interview that they scheduled more Saturday night games this season. But I guess that only lasts until ESPN tells them they. have to play at Noon on a Saturday.
