  1. I just can't pathom how you can be a division one collegiate athlete and get out rebounded astronomically, have a 29.5 inch basketball go through your hands time after time, and set illegal screens (he can't even stand still right). But yet he still starts.. it's baffling
  2. Lost that game because of Riak
  3. Buffalo has 51 rebounds to our 29
  4. Riak sucks.. it's like he's 12 beers deep every game
  5. who is buffalo's best player? Graves?
  6. 86-78 Zips. I expect UA to pull away late. As a result, they'll pull their starters and get the bench players, some much needed, exposure.
  7. Liberty loses two in a row to North Florida (12-9) and Stetson (10-11, #314 Kenpom)
  8. scored 88 though!
  9. 88-74 Zips
  10. yeah, thats why I raised the question because I thought our side was tougher
  11. interesting.. Thank you. So in basketball the east and west conferences don't really matter, as long as, Akron is in the top four.
  12. How does seeding for the MAC tournament work? Is it premised upon the top four teams get a first round bye or do the top two teams from each division get byes?
  13. According to Ole Kenpom the Zips are rated above Daniel Utomi's mighty USC Trojans.
  14. Akron is up to #58 in the latest Kenpom poll (1/22)
  15. ass-whoopin early
  16. 69-61 zips
  17. so who would you give the edge to Teague or Knapke?
  18. do you think we have an answer to him aside from the double team?
  19. Toledo has a big #30 that worries me. He creates a mismatch and without a doubt our weakest link is our center.
  20. NIU doesn't belong on the same floor as us
  21. here is a free stream for the indigent https://www.reddit.com/r/ncaaBBallStreams/comments/eou1ay/game_thread_northern_ill_vs_akron_0800_pm_est/
  22. I personally think if LCJ gets the opportunity to leave he will. While he may love Akron and may have bought into Groce's system he still has to look out for his own interests. If a better program comes knocking I expect him to jump ship. I definitely don't want him to leave, however, if I were in his position (academically or athletically) and a "superior" (for lack of better term) program offered me the same deal Akron is offering me with a chance to make more money or gain more exposure, as much as it may hurt, I would make the decision which is in my best interest. I guess the bigger question raised would be whether or not "superior" programs would ever consider giving a talented 5'8 PG a spot in their rotation. If the answer is yes I expect him to leave. If the answer is no them I expect him to remain with the Zips.
  23. I am not a fan of the 9pm start either. Definitely will not help with attendance. I wonder how many people will show up at 7.
