Through five games of the season now, IMO this offense does look better this year without Ali Ali. Thankfully I don’t think I’ve seen any isolation plays with the back to the basket yet by anyone. Although Ali did have better shooting stats compared to the likes of Sammy and Hank so far, having the option of multiple shooters this year pleases me way more than Ali at point last year. Even if the numbers aren’t there this year, by my eye test the offense is doing a good job, just gotta knock down some shots

This tournament is making me really excited for this season, it sucks that we have to wait until Janurary 13th for a competitive game with a non-winter break crowd at the JAR

I might be making it a bigger deal than it is, but this gym where the tournament is being held is tiny. Different from last years Florida trip where they played in a larger hockey arena, the depth perception should be a help for the Zips when it comes to 3 point shooting. Time to let it fly! It is crazy to think about how it could’ve been different with Chong out there this season. It seemed like late in the year we relied too much on the same old Malik and Dyson crosses and try and slide one past the GK. Those first few games saw a balanced offense that could play through the middle

Hunter seems to have a good shot and take good shots. I don't think he'll turn out like Maishe Dailey, Hunter has the ability to go inside as we saw last game. He just needs to get his confidence and he should be a really good player

Well it seems like Big East sports don't use ESPN+, they use FloSports. That's a hefty subscription right there. Other than that, this is great for the team!

Of course this tournament is streaming on the dreaded FloHoops...

Shook was also out against Pitt after the Red Card he had against Ohio State. Ryan Kingsford played a really good game that day basically playing in place of him. Also Will Jackson was out most of that game too, so hopefully Jackson and Kingsford will be valuable on Sunday

For three years in a row now we've had something like this, with St. Bonaventure, the Florida tournament last year, now Miss St. Groce always says its a good experience to lose like this, hopefully we see guys bought in to the "Akron Way" on Tuesday
