  1. I'm not sure what to tell you - they use NET.
  2. One fascinating aspect to all of this is how playing time shakes out. Our past transfers have typically been guys who were blocked and weren't going to play much, if at all, if they stayed. Right now, we have: Lyles/MMK N. Johnson/Mahaffey Okonkwo/Brisco Scott/Hardman T. Johnson/Young But we will have 2 open scholarships (maybe 3 if Harris leaves), and we obviously want to get better. How Groce manages all of this will be something to watch.
  3. I'm going to assume Perkins and Henderson are going to be redshirts. So 2 open scholarships, 3 if Harris doesn't return, and the ability to pitch being a part of a team aiming to 3-peat in the conference and go to the tournament for the 4th time and 5 years. Let's gooooooo!
  4. Josiah Harris is the only scholarship player who hasn't posted anything tonight.
  5. Not to the Selection Committee. The selection committee uses a number of factors to rank teams for the S-curve, including record, strength of schedule, and the NET in the Division I men's tournament and the RPI in all other championship tournaments. Relative subjective comparison of individual teams close on the S-Curve are also considered.
  6. Drake 28-3 overall, 17-3 Conference Net Ranking: 56 Quad 1 and 2 wins: 6 McNeese State 25-6 overall, 19-1 Conference) Net Ranking: 58 Quad 1 and 2 wins: 1 Akron 28-6 overall, 17-1 Conference Net Ranking: 91 Quad 1 and 2 wins: 1
  7. I've heard something related to a contract UA has with Barnes and Noble that limits what they can produce/sell, but I don't really understand it or know if there's a way to get out of it. I will say that, as a person with a closet full of Zips gear, I was jealous that the guy from Barstool that they sent a box of gear to got so many cool items after he hopped on the bandwagon for a week. 😂 Maybe now that Charles is gone, the surplus sale will come back!
  8. I don't doubt it. I'm just saying, that wasn't the norm in college basketball 5 years ago.
  9. Happy this kid's 15 minutes are up.
  10. I agree, but I do think it is on athletics and the Collective to find a variety of avenues to create this funding. I like the thought process @Illini Zip just shared on providing specifics of where money is going. I would be far more apt to donate to a specific goal I am in support of than just mailing a check to the collective and hoping it helps. But that's just me. I also think they should find a way to highlight all donors, not just the Summit Circle. Maybe allow anyone who donated $100 or more to go shoot on the court after a particular game. Or hold a post-game meet-and-greet with a player. 10 fans donating $100 is just as good as one donating $1000. If it's hard for people to see where their hard-earned money is going, they won't give it to you.
  11. Is this in response to my post?
  12. This is exactly where college sports is now. It was not lost on me that Bud sat with the team and next to Ford at the Selection Show Watch Party. Not that I have an issue with that - I don't- but I don't think that's something you would have seen 5 years ago. These wealthy alums are semi-formal parts of the program now.
  13. I love that they're doing this, but I doubt they sell many at that price point.
  14. I wonder on MMK's ceiling. He plays solid defense, but he's too small to play against good bigs but doesn't have much scoring ability as a wing.
