This game is a fringe Q2/Q3 for us. If Troy goes on a run and wins the sun belt it’ll definitely be a Q2 out of conference road win which we have wanted for a while now. I know nobody wants to hear the 3 letters NIT. But if Kent can get two homes games with their mid NET last year we can have home court til the semis if we win today and only lose to Miami. Just something I think about as a NET watcher. Alright I’m going back to curling and hockey. See yall at 6

Bumping this thread. Round 1 the MAC went 9-4. The MAC needs 5 wins on Saturday to clinch the Belt and be crowned the superior conference. SB won year 1 and year 2 was a tie. Historically the home teams have done very well during round 2. The long road trip messes up these teams. Akron is 0-2 on the road during the MAC-SB (JMU and Arkansas St). MMK really hasn't developed at all as a shooter either. If he's undersized out there then he has no reason to be out there atm. Especially if he's out there with halligan then you have two nonfactors (or at least the teams treat them as nonfactors) on offense

This Kent team had us in their heads and you could tell. Some crazy head scratching decisions. The Mahaffeys are the biggest game wreckers. They were causing problems all night. Getting Whaley back will help Kent but I feel like we didn’t shoot well overall. Let’s see if they can score 80 against us @ Kent if we’re back to normal. Barre being back was awesome. I feel like he could’ve been the difference against Miami

This just makes me want all Ohio MTE. There's 13 D1 teams in Ohio. I'm 99% sure Ohio State would chicken out, so you'd have a nice 12 team bracket. Dayton would probably be heavy favorites most years but the storylines would be extremely fun. Give us a great chance at big wins against Dayton, Cinci, and Xavier while also beating up the horizon. Put it in the Columbus area for fairness and I'd spend the weekend there for it.
