  1. Zips at -11.5 on Draft Kings.
  2. That's correct, I believe. I had initially thought it would be better for UConn to beat Seton Hall but then TennZip's post helped me realize it would be better for Seton Hall to win. A win and obviously the Zips are #2 seed. A draw and we'd make it with a Providence loss and a NON-draw between Seton Hall and UConn. A loss and there's still a chance to make it if Seton Hall and Georgetown both win...I think.
  3. Awesome, thanks so much! One less game i need to pay attention to tonight. 😂
  4. I saw on Facebook that they're offering BOGO tickets. Looks like it's in the reserved sections. About $21 for two tickets.
  5. Does this imply that St John's can't qualify on a tiebreaker?
  6. You know, I'd feel a lot better if this game was at home 😂 but I'm confident in the team to get it done!
  7. I'm pretty sure they won't, unfortunately.
  8. Looks like they're in mid-season form already. 😂
  9. Akron up to #18 in the College Soccer News poll and are finally ranked again in the Top Drawer poll at #24. https://collegesoccernews.com/college-soccer-news-mens-week-11-top-25-coaches-poll-stanford-drops-while-vermont-maryland-and-virginia-stand-out-as-clear-top-3/ https://www.topdrawersoccer.com/college-soccer-national-rankings/men
  10. Zips are -7.5 according to Draft Kings for tomorrow's game, despite the ESPN matchup predictor only giving Akron a 56.8% chance to win.
  11. Looking at the schedule for the final matchday, there's a fairly straightforward way for Akron to qualify in the top 4 with a draw on Friday. If Akron draws, Georgetown beats Providence, and the UConn-Seton Hall game DOESN'T end in a draw... Akron would get the #4 seed. There's probably other routes that include a tiebreaker but since the tiebreakers are a little unclear, that's the simplest way to qualify with a draw. But let's just win so we don't have to scoreboard watch 😁
  12. Zips up to #11 in the RPI - the highest RPI in the Big East.
  13. I missed Malik in attendance tonight, would've liked to have seen him! He's making great strides with Toronto.
  14. A couple of favorable matchups for the Zips in the case that they draw on Friday, as Providence has a tough match and UConn and Seton Hall play each other. Gives the Zips a good chance to make it in with a draw. But obviously we want the division title!
  15. Four teams tied at 13 points, only two of the four can make the conference tournament. Of course, if the Zips win on Friday, they win the division and get the #2 seed automatically.
  16. Farrell (not Remi) replaces Ferguson. Anyone know if Remi is injured?
  17. Thanks to some favorable results from Akron opponents earlier tonight, the Zips moved up from #14 to #12 in the RPI. Closing out the regular season with two wins should get us a top 16 seed (and first round bye).
  18. Note from the game preview: this match will air on gozips.com not espn+ (I assume due to the volleyball match on espn+ right beforehand)
  19. Several games tonight featuring Zips' opponents, including a big one. Cleveland State (127) at IU Indy (170) - 7 pm Albany (110) at Vermont (2) - 6 pm NKU (182) at Milwaukee (173) - 6 pm Penn State (102) at Ohio State (91) - 7 pm Marshall (19) at West Virginia (21) - 7 pm
  20. I go with: TJ, Scott, Head, Evan M., and Amani
  21. I've been debating it and think a tie between Creighton and SHU is best also. However, if Akron wins, there's no harm in a Creighton win, as Akron would still win the division with a win in the final match. If I really went in-depth on the tiebreakers, maybe I would have a different opinion. 😆
  22. What does this mean in terms of his two-way eligibility? Can he still be called up and active at any time?
  23. I live in Youngstown and I'm a Zips season ticket holder but I don't really want to pay $20 for an exhibition game so I'll be relying on info reported here. 🤣
  24. Akron still not ranked again in the Top Drawer Soccer poll this week. Meanwhile, in the College Soccer News poll, Akron moves up to #22. https://www.topdrawersoccer.com/college-soccer-national-rankings/men https://collegesoccernews.com/college-soccer-news-mens-week-10-top-25-coaches-poll-maryland-and-virginia-jump-into-the-top-5-and-san-diego-climbs-to-10/
  25. Perfect name too!
