Anyone remember this helmet that Bills safety Mark Kelso used to wear? It was specifically designed to reduce concussions with a layer of styrofoam underneath that outer shell. A couple players wore them but most wouldn't because they thought it looked stupid.

Doubt it was deleted. New members sometimes take a little while to get posted and so only the mods can see the posts initially. If you noticed, the only respondents to OT were moderators.

That was a good question, so I looked it up. ESPN has the records of each team in the NCAA tournament. Every MAC team has won at least one NCAA tournament game at some point in their history, save Akron, NIU (0-3) and Buffalo (never made the tournament).

Too bad we didn't have a home game in an important year. Well we'll have one next year in what might be an equally important one. Finish the MAC schedule strong!

Man, Brian Walsh has really been off his game today. Wonder what the three percentage is today. Gotta be down around 20%.

Going from bad to worse. ORU can't make a first shot but gettig plenty of follow ons. Quincy misses a dunk and then a cheap foul on Abreu. Ugh.

Buffalo not helping right now either. Down by 12 to SDSU at the half.

I would have guessed Gilliam had 4-6 points in this game. He was the leading scorer with 14. None of the MAC West teams can knock the Zips out of a top 4 seed now. A win against BGSU and top four is guaranteed. The last MAC team to start 11-1 in league play was the Can't State Elite 8 squad so that's a nice sign too. And while I am thinking about it, I really like that the Bracketbusters gives a break from league play.

I think we may be seeing the end of the assassin. In the post game interview KD mentioned he was going to choke Nik if he kept taking those early threes. Don't think his three point attempts tonight (0-4) were a result of coaching.

I've been to their stadium. It's not bad but Infocision is nicer. I imagine a few places use that "eye" motif.

Fortunately, it settled down about the same time the Zips did.

These are the kinds of games that make me nervous. It's a game we should win and need to win, but Miami is better than their record. This could be one of those games the team might figure they can coast on with the more difficult schedule still to come. I predict a Zips win, but by no more than 10.

Steve will be there. That might scare Charlie all by itself.

Eastern lost to Central tonight, putting the MAC West "leader" at 6-6. I think there is almost no chance of a Western team getting a top four seed with five East teams standing at 7-4 or better right now.

Flashes take out the Bulls 76-71. Still not sure if that's good or bad. Buffalo is 0-15 all-time in Can't State's gym.

Plus its one one of the more accessible locations and if I am an opposing fan I'm thinking I have a real chance to see my team win on the road. Maybe that is where we'll get our big attendance increase.

My hopes for him? That no matter where he goes after UA, he lives a long, healthy and happy life. What a great young man.

Matt Foldesy, the 2011 Ohio High School Boys Division I Player of the Year, rounds out the 2012 freshman class. So the Ohio D-I player of the year is the "afterthought" in the class. Unbelievable. I think at some point in the future it is going to be revealed that Caleb Porter is some sort of Wizard.

Apparently Temple is at least going to talk to the MWC-CUSA merger folks.

Hang on now. If you read the SI article Dr. Z linked to she did sing it live but she sung into a dead mic. The players and referees even teared up a little listening to her. So there is actually truth on both sides.
