I would have guessed Gilliam had 4-6 points in this game. He was the leading scorer with 14. None of the MAC West teams can knock the Zips out of a top 4 seed now. A win against BGSU and top four is guaranteed. The last MAC team to start 11-1 in league play was the Can't State Elite 8 squad so that's a nice sign too. And while I am thinking about it, I really like that the Bracketbusters gives a break from league play.

I think we may be seeing the end of the assassin. In the post game interview KD mentioned he was going to choke Nik if he kept taking those early threes. Don't think his three point attempts tonight (0-4) were a result of coaching.

I've been to their stadium. It's not bad but Infocision is nicer. I imagine a few places use that "eye" motif.

These are the kinds of games that make me nervous. It's a game we should win and need to win, but Miami is better than their record. This could be one of those games the team might figure they can coast on with the more difficult schedule still to come. I predict a Zips win, but by no more than 10.

Eastern lost to Central tonight, putting the MAC West "leader" at 6-6. I think there is almost no chance of a Western team getting a top four seed with five East teams standing at 7-4 or better right now.

Flashes take out the Bulls 76-71. Still not sure if that's good or bad. Buffalo is 0-15 all-time in Can't State's gym.

Plus its one one of the more accessible locations and if I am an opposing fan I'm thinking I have a real chance to see my team win on the road. Maybe that is where we'll get our big attendance increase.

My hopes for him? That no matter where he goes after UA, he lives a long, healthy and happy life. What a great young man.

Matt Foldesy, the 2011 Ohio High School Boys Division I Player of the Year, rounds out the 2012 freshman class. So the Ohio D-I player of the year is the "afterthought" in the class. Unbelievable. I think at some point in the future it is going to be revealed that Caleb Porter is some sort of Wizard.

Well I don't have a lot of respect for their prognosticating powers anyway, since they have the 11 and 12 seeds listed as the play-in spots, when it is actually 12 and 13 this year.

Joe currently has the Zips as a 13 seed playing Wisconsin in Nashville. I'd like that. C'mon Zips, turn it on, finish even stronger.

I'm sure you've seen that some people were not thrilled when you got the job, but I hope you also see that people have been very pleased with what you have done lately.
