  1. They'll be fine. No reason to think fatigue should be a problem.
  2. Hitchens is making a habit of big shots at The Q.
  3. Big game for Zeke, and he's had his hands full today.
  4. I thought his feet were moving. Anyway, your officials: Bo Borowski, Glenn Mayborg, David Walker.
  5. MAC Report Online's quarterfinal preview: http://is.gd/acWK3Also, we will be doing live updates on Twitter once again this year. Twitnits, be sure to follow @macreportonline. If you're not big on the Twit, just keep refreshing twitter.com/macreportonline.
  6. Hmmm... legitimate argument. Might be an oversight on my part.
  7. We look back at the year that was and hand out some really, really not official "awards": http://is.gd/a8exG
  8. You can always follow the MRO Twitter. /shameless plug
  9. Canellis was fine. Adams needs to learn less is more.
  10. OU alum! But Peter King would find himself skewered by Fire Joe Morgan every so often.
  11. Oh, yes. I was at the one bar in downtown Cleveland still open after the quarters wrapped up last year. Reghi comes in a little bit after me and everyone sort of turns to him and greets him. After a while, we all return to what we're doing and he takes a seat at the bar. This was during the epic UConn/Syracuse battle, so everybody is watching that. Finally, in the fifth OT, Syracuse pulls away a little bit, and we just hear Reghi belt out in his announcer voice, "Syracuse, STARTING TO TAKE OVER!" I don't think the man has an off switch. We thought it was hilarious.
  12. Voting was close in a number of categories. Did Akron take home any honors? http://is.gd/9TXNE
  13. Actually, the "real" Reghi is pretty much the same.
  14. You sure about that?Terry Pluto vs Jay Mariotti. Who ya got?
  15. It was very disappointing, and at this point I don't think we have a chance. We do great against DIV II and weak Western Div teams. Big deal, that's not going to get us anyplace. But I must say, the shot selection was just so disappointing.Zips are clearly better than anyone else in the MAC except Can't ...and OU. Can I request a "Choke-job" emoticon?Akron is vastly better than Ohio.
  16. By journalists maybe. Pluto is alright but nothing even close to great. BTW, if im not mistaken Terry Pluto graduated from Cleveland State so how does a Ohio University person like yourself even consider Terry Pluto as so great? I mean dont you have plenty of other better journalists from Scripps? Personally, I can think of tons better than Terry Pluto.Because I don't judge a person's work on where they got their degree?
  17. You've never been to Millett Hall.
  18. Terry Pluto is one of the most respected sports journalists in American history.
  19. So it is! A correction is forthcoming.
  20. http://is.gd/9CAa4
  21. Love Reghi. True friend of the conference. Have a good story from Cleveland last year if anyone's interested.
  22. +1I've never seen a problem with Buffalo fans, except .....Never mess with the national anthem.Never. No way. No how. No matter how cool you may think it might sound to amplify "home of the brave(s)", most patriotic citizens will rightfully consider it disrespectful of the true meaning and purpose of our national anthem, and think less of the University at Buffalo and its students. The Rowdies amplify "...and the hooooome of the Zips" all the time. Why no complaints until Buffalo did it?Maybe it was because the Buffalo folks were closer or louder or both, but I've never really heard the Rowdies doing this. If I had, I would have said something on this forum.Interesting. I've heard them do it from across Quicken Loans Arena, though I don't remember if someone was singing it at the time.
  23. I agree about Miami, and it's surprising they're in the hunt for a first-round bye. Still, it's not BSU's fault other teams might not have been playing their best when the Cardinals played them. They won those games, and it's hard for me to mitigate them. They play really good defense and gave you guys all you could handle in Muncie. That convinced me they're a good team (by MAC standards).I would take BSU against OU on a neutral court. The 'Cats are overrated right now.
  24. No it's totally different. It's like saying he likes spaghetti or had a pet hamster as a kid. Are you for real? Are you? Again, I did not call him a racist. You continue to put words in my mouth. Great argument. No...no I would not care if you called Solich anything. I don't care about Solich. I do care about University of Akron coaches. Again - are you for real? Is that your best counterpoint?I hope you're being this dense on purpose. I'll be clearer: Would you call out a Zips fan for a sign about Solich or a sign similar in nature about any other coach? Or is your only problem that it's about a current UA employee? You define Dambrot by something he said 15 years ago, but you can't be defined by something you wrote 4 years ago. And which you don't seem to mind being appearing on your school's message board to this day. At least, until it gets called out. Then, rather than apologize for it as a stupid youthful mistake, you try to spin it to oversensitivity on a Zips fan's part? I would respect an apology. I don't respect spin. There you go again. No, I don't define him by that. Then? Yes. Now? No. And it's both a stupid mistake on my part and oversensitivity on your part. There's a tendency on Bobcat Attack to post old pictures on threads about upcoming opponents. That's the only reason it got put up there. It in no way represents how I feel today.I will be clearer: The sign was a bad idea. The picture in 2010 was thoughtless. It was called out then by Ohio assistant John Rhodes, and it is no more true today than it ever was. I will not post that picture again. Dambrot is a good guy. I apologized to him, and I am sorry. Maybe, just maybe, you haven't shown him your cute sign?Dude has a good memory. We had a short conversation about it.
