    Detroit always looks good on paper. On the court, they can beat anyone... or lose to anyone. And there's no way to tell which Titan squad will take the floor on a given night.

    Or Miami...Coles always has a tough squad. There are no easy teams this year in the East. How is BG this year??? BUGS gave Georgia, another SEC team, all that they could handle. 63-54. They'll likely finish last in the East, which means they could contend for the West title.

    Miami won the first game because they dominated on the boards. They won the second because they shot 91% from the line and OU couldn't make anything for the first 35 minutes.

    You need to win Friday, for Miami to lose both games this week, and Western Michigan to win the West.

    A Western win tomorrow all but knocks Ball State out of contention for a bye. Suppose Western holds the Cardinals off and Miami holds serve and gets the top seed. Seeing as the Broncos beat them in Oxford, can you say they don't deserve the #2 seed? The point is, WMU held their own against the East. They would likely be in the thick of the race either way.

    The East co-leaders are 5-3 and 4-4. Not much better.

    The last weekend is a flex date for all teams. ESPN2 picked the game they wanted for Friday night and teams adjusted accordingly. Miami, for whatever reason, kept its game on Friday (perhaps to deter OU fans). Buffalo and BG waited until ESPN's announcement to officially schedule their game for Saturday.
