Can't was fortunate to play the tougher West teams at home and catch NIU on a terrible shooting day. They suck, and won't be a factor in a couple weeks.

Doubtful. There are only three schools with accredited journalism programs in the state. All of them are in the MAC, but Akron is not one of them.Do you read alot of other student newspapers around the country? Can these journalists (or "journalists" like Razor) back up your statements with awards? Can your School of Journalism back up your statements? -
You probably had a great view from your living room watching it on your TV. Are you seriously trying to suggest a first-round exit in a close game to the SEC champs is somehow worse than not getting to go at all?And how did you do in the tournament last year? This probably goes without saying, but down in Athens, we're real fired up for this game. We haven't forgotten the hurt you guys put on us last year, and I expect a real hot game. OU/'Kron is one of the fastest growing rivalries in the MAC and one of my favorite games of the year. So far as the possible tampering goes, I doubt Ohio would have broken the rules to get a guy who has little, if any, chance of starting or contributing significant minutes. I expect he'll see about as much time as he did with you guys.

Actually, the MAC doesn't use ratings, it now uses actual standings that reflect how good teams really are and not the empty hype of wishful fans.
We are currently 6-2 vs the other MAC east teams: best record in the division vs. each other. If we are "overrated" what does that make the other teams?
OU certainly gets its chance to put up or shut up this week.
We eagerly await their arrival on Saturday.

Ohio and Akron are underrated because they get no media attention or not too many televised opportunities. Miami, BG, and Can't are liked a lot by FSN more than other teams in my opinion.Actually, I don't think Ohio is underrated. I think we're considered about how we are. But with the Cuyahoga-Summit-Portage love affair for the Yellow Birds, you don't get the dap you should.

The fact is we lost two extremely close games without our own matchup to Gerwig. You can dismiss this fact if it makes you feel better. Just thank your lucky stars in your prayers, because with him we would have almost surely been 2-0 against you.

I can tell you for a FACT that antizip and his crowd are nervous about what the Zips are becoming. It is coming, they know it, and a last hooray is all they've got. I smile when I see the posts because it is an indicator of how far we've come already. We are on the radar. Remember the days, when Can't fans wouldn't even have worried about a hip led team. All of this attention is quite a sign. I think the fact is they know we are coming, we are coming quick, and they have borrowed time right now. We gave them the game on Saturday - They can have it. I wouldn't trade places right now in the big picture.
Can't is falling faster than a big, ugly, yellow rock.
I'm sure you fine folks will agree with me that they're the most overrated team in the MAC.

In no way does Marshall at home represent a critical game to anyone. You could sit your starting lineup and beat them by 10. That team has thrown the towel in.

With our win and your loss, the MAC East now looks like this:
Miami 11-4
Buffalo 10-6
Akron 10-6
Can't 10-6
Ohio 10-6
C-USA 2-14
Remaining games:
Miami: @ Can't, C-USA
Buffalo: @ OU, Akron
Akron: C-USA, @ Buffalo
Can't: Miami, OU
Ohio: Buffalo, @ Can't
So aside from the insanity that we have FOUR teams at 10-6, how is this going to play out? Aside from Can't, all of the top five teams have an away game. It is entirely possible the four 10-6 teams go 1-1 and the world explodes.
Of course, Miami can choke and lose their last two... throwing things into further chaos.
On paper, Can't has the best chance, but I don't see them winning both those games. They're a paper tiger in my eye.
The team I'd vote most likely to go 2-0 is Buffalo (what's with Jay Bilas slobbering all over them lately?). From there, Akron and OU have roughly the same chance to go 2-0, though you guys have the near-automatic win in your favor.
It's all incredibly wide-open at this point.

You have hot players and a home winning streak, we have a combination of injured players and young talent that plays together as a team. You will have your hands full at home in the Convo. Get ready to work your butts off if you want to win. But mostly just be sure you get to this game because the Zips program is poised to take off and this season may be your last decent chance to see the Bobcats win against Akron.

By that statement, I can only take that to mean you don't know anything about Ohio. Just like you, we're young. Just like you, our top scorer is a junior, and the best overall player is a sophomore. We've also got two freshman that have been playing very well this year.
We're also "poised to take off," and I expect Akron and Ohio to be the class of the MAC East for the next couple years.
Like you said, you're injured and we're hot and incredibly hard to beat at home. You guys just lost to Can't- we beat Miami. You're coming off one day of rest after a tough overtime game while we have three days. It's going to be you that's going to need to work your butts off, because we're going to make sure you're sucking wind early and often.
That said, you guys always play us tough. I know it isn't easy, but I'm fulling expecting a W.
