I actually share your concerns about PF. However, I think that he was the backup for Zeke last year and was forced to play as if he was Zeke. His strengths are different. From all accounts, he can shoot. Zeke never had any kind of a shot until his senior year. I think he will be used a little differently, and KD will design play around his strengths. I really get a chuckle at all the Isiah Johnson stuff. Some people act like he is the Messiah. He is a freshman who has never touched the ball in college. I hope he is the next Michael Jordan, but it is really too soon to have any idea how good or bad he will be. I can remember some "highly touted" players in the past - Kyle Peterson "Mr. Florida Basketball", Dakota Huston, Josh Egner, a certain freshman named BLAKE who sat on the bench and is gone. All these guys were supposed to be really good, and none worked out. So as far as the incoming freshmen, all we have is high hopes. Time will tell. We can be effective with PF, Tree, Harney, Q, Jake and the other kid. The rest remains to be seen.

AA was never the leading scorer. But he was always a threat.

Melo is not a scoring threat. A few points a game on the occasional lay up. We need more. Zekes 13 PPG are no longer here.

It was a fair analysis. We lost Zeke, who by most accounts was one of the top 60 college players in the draft. We ended the season without a DI point guard. The incoming freshmen are unproven, PF didn't play that many minutes behind Zeke and had some growing pains. So we COULD be a team in search of a center and a PG. OR we could be #1 in the MAC again with a 6'11" center and an excellent point guard. Stay tuned.

The thing that bothers me is that so many of the second round picks were called a "project". Most of the big guys weighted WAY less than Zeke. I think that Zeke is less of a "project" than at least 10-12 of the second round picks. He could play in an NBA game today. Not saying he would go 13/7/3.7 but he could play score and block. Way less of a project than many. BUT, someone is going to sign him. Then it is up to him.

We don't get no respect. One team took a guy who averaged 3 points a game. Could not even play for the worst team in the MAC. Sucks.

I can not believe Withey is still there, and teams are grabbing foreign players who never even played a year of college. They must now something we don't.

I am surprised Jeff Withy is still available. But on the other hand the guy from France is 7'2" and 7'9" wingspan. Amazing. I still don't understand why Zeke was not invited to the combine. His stats were better than a number of guys who went in the first round.

And I agree with that. But he also inferred that I don't know how to adjust the TV. I do. Could not be done.

My TV has VGA in and the picture is HD resolution. SO you can apologize now.

Dr. Z, I hope you said that in jest. The game was viewed on my TV from the connection to my laptop. Not true HDTV by any stretch. Some games viewed that way are very very good, but I recall one that everything just looked yellow because of the lighting and the was no adjustment that fixed it. I think K-Roo is all over it!

One of the places we played this year (Ohio or Buffalo?) was very hard to watch on the ESPN360 feed. I even mentioned it on the thread. All kinds of reflections and everything looked yellow.

The real question is how will it look on the TV broadcast. If it makes it hard to follow the players or the ball it is no good.

'71 will now, two days from the draft, make his bold prediction: Not only will Zeke be drafted, He will go a lot sooner than some of you folks think. He can do 23 pullups? That is ASTOUNDING. Remember, he is pulling around 240 pounds each time. He is going to surprise a lot of people.

WRONG WRONG WRONG This is a team that has won three games in three years. The NUMBER ONE priority is to build a winning team and a winning tradition. Do that and recruiting will take care of itself. You can not get quality recruits to a team that fights hard to win one game a season. Win and they will come.
