  1. If he is really around 6'10" that is awesome. Size matters in hoops.
  2. While the dunks are spectacular, my favorite plays are the blocks where he recovers the ball himself after the block. That shows the kind of quickness the pros will be looking for. You can not teach that. Mod Edit. How to Reply
  3. He is certainly on the Pistons radar. Some people may be shocked how early he goes. An athletic seven footer who knows how to play the game is hard to pass up.
  4. If he has to have it scoped, he has plenty of time to rehab it. Do it now, it will not interfere with the season at all. Tree gets so high in the air it probably is killing his knees.
  5. As I had stated previously, I believe that a few organizations were looking at him as someone they could sneak in the back door without spending a draft pick. I think that Zeke is now in play and they WILL have to spend a draft pick to get him. None of that has anything to do with his ability, just that he was not in the top tier of "name" players from "name" teams. Note that the players from the big NCAA schools get a lot of play on the draft lists, even though some of them did not impress at all in the dance.
  6. Of course he will be drafted. How does an entire league ignore a guy who is 7' tall with a 7'5" wingspan who can run up and down the court all day and score and rebound and block shots? Too much angst.
  7. That is Zeke all right. He is elbow high to the basket. Which eliminates 99.9% of the population of the world.
  8. You are free to disagree with the law, but you are not free to break it. If you don't like it work to change it, but in the meanwhile you must obey it. We never lost anyone because of any "silly" laws. We only lost people because of a failure to control themselves.
  9. That is what happens when you have some really solid players on the team. None of those guys were going to make Tree or Harney or Walsh or CG or AA sit. And no one was going to make Zeke sit. It is all good. That is where we want to be.
  10. +100000000 And let me add, this was not a bar fight, this was not a domestic fight with a woman who was driving him nuts, THIS WAS A PREMEDITATED CRIMINAL ENTERPRISE. I am not saying he should be executed or sent to prison for life. I am saying he is not fit to be a representative of this university.
  11. Thanks DIG. Please keep us updated. The Dance owes us something this year. KD has already decreed that there will be NO food the night before the game and anyone who gets arrested will be executed.
  12. It is all BS. He is a convicted Felon. The University suspended him when he was charged. He was convicted of what he was charged with. His scholarship is gone. He needs 1.5 years to graduate, because the spring semester is a giant incomplete. Even if he had the money to pay out of State tuition for 1.5 years, which I remind you is not cheap, he would probably be on academic probation for the beginning of the year and therefore ineligible for sports. As sure as the sun rises in the East, he will not be back. If you happen to notice the sun setting in the East, let me know, and I will eat my words.
  13. I think I like this post but I am not sure if I like it so I will sleep on it and if I decide I like it I won't tell you.
  14. But you have to keep in mind that running bootleg is basically the minor league training grounds for NASCAR.
  15. Where is the LIKE button?
  16. He did not possess it for personal use, he possessed it for sale, and according to what was published here, this was not the first time. He will not, and should not, be back. And keep in mind that he was suspended well before the end of the semester, so he would have an academic issue with NCAA as well.
  17. Where is the LIKE button? He committed a felony while enrolled and playing Div I varsity basketball. He is done.
  18. Capt K is right on. He disgraced the University. He let his team mates down. He is done as a Zip.
  19. I hope the University allows him to complete his degree - on his own dime. He will never play sports for Akron again. Not only does it send a bad message, but he would be a divisive factor on the team. Who wants to share a room on the road with a convicted criminal? Who wants to associate with someone who stuck a knife in the team when they could have made a run in the dance? He is just a bad memory.
  20. Not happening. He is a convicted Felon. (I could say something cute like "He is not allowed to own a gun so he can't shoot", but I'll leave it alone).
  21. It will be really interesting to see what happens with Isiah. He is a BIG body, and may grow an inch or so. Jackson looks like he has excellent vision and should get a lot of assists. I would not assume that anything is cast in stone as far as the guard positions. Our starting senior PG is gone for good, and it will be up to KD to decide who can fill that gap. Quite possibly we will open the season with a starting PG who has never touched the ball for Akron.
  22. WOW. Took a Felony! Unusual for a first arrest. They must have really had something on him, AND wanted to make an example of him. I think we can assume he will not be at the point for UA any more.
  23. "According to a source close to him". As in GameChanger44! LOL
  24. They severed the two cases. As I predicted, the other guy gave him up. Other than the statement AA is alleged to have made, it seems like a weak case. Without the other guys statement, I don't know where they can go with this. No addressed to him, not present at the time. They better have a lot more than what they are saying.
  25. It is Brooklyn's loss.
