  1. Somehow it seems lost in the clutter that Tree had another double-double and Zeke went for 14 pts 8 boards and 5 blocks.
  2. + on Reggie. A 6'7" PG in the MAC will be interesting.
  3. I am on board for Reggie for PG. With a week to practice at a new position he could be ready to go. One thing about Reggie is that he is a really special athlete. Was offered DIV I Quarterback scholarships. That shows a high degree of athletic ability. He could be an answer.
  4. Walsh or Reggie at PG. Harney is not a PG. He is too loosey goosey with the ball.
  5. Dave, I can not help but think that we lost by less than AA's 10 PPG. And assists. I am disappointed, but NOT upset. With the hand we were dealt, we came roaring back and almost pulled it out. In fact, Reggies late foul with 7 on the shot clock may have sealed the deal, but he really had a good game. I would like to see him at PG. I think he is a great athlete. Now we have a week to work it out, not one day. The problem is that we have to change our basic game plan, because it relies on AA getting 10 points and 6 assists. KD is a great coach, and will work it out. The one thing no one has mentioned yet is the way we played defense at the end. We were pressing and stealing and came back from 15 down to 3 down. We need to play more of that. And Melo better eat his wheaties.
  6. I think Walsh looked good at the point, and Reggie showed some stuff at the end. He might be worthy of PG consideration. More on point, NO DEJI Just keep him around for when we need to give a foul.
  7. Trying to remain positive, a case can be advanced at any time. The other guy could exonerate AA. Like he was visiting and the package came and he knew nothing about it. However, we do not have all the facts. When the Police entered there could have been distribution things right there in plain sight - scales and glassines. We don't know. So at this point, we have to assume he is gone and work out a new lineup. All we can do is hope that melo or someone steps up. The team is more than just AA.
  8. Of course that movie reminds me of "Animal House" and I have always believed that it was based on the Lone Stars of the 1960's. And the antics of Artie R.
  9. Umm The GERMANS did not bomb Pearl Harbor. What kind of education are you guys getting at UA these days?
  10. I have to agree with you, except for one thing: Next Saturday morning would have been WAY worse! At least we have a shot to regroup.
  11. I am thinking that the Friday game should be used by KD as a reset. We need to find a new combination that works. Maybe give Justice some playing time, he is supposed to be a good outside shooter. Losing this game would not be horrible under these circumstances if we could use it to set ourselves up for the Q. Obviously our "standard" game plan is out the window. If we can not cover AA's points and passes we have no chance to advance. We need to fix that. I know that when I suggested the other day that the Can't games does not have much meaning, I got jumped on. HOWEVER, things have changed. If we are to have any chance to advance, we have to work out the replacement for AA. That is more important than winning this game. Without AA, our very dim chance at an at large just went into a black hole. It is all about winning 2 at the Q now, nothing else.
  12. They did not say it was the mail They said it was at a terminal. Could be UPS or FedEx. From my experience, they tend to get more of that activity.
  13. I hope you are talking about the people who have found him guilty without an arraignment, much less a trial.
  14. Looking at both charges, there is a 2012 date there.
  15. Either way, they charged on the presumptions only, it would appear. They still have to prove the drugs were his. Maybe they can do so. Maybe they were packaging it into dime bags when the Police came calling. I guess we will find out. I had a room mate once at UA who was probably the biggest pot dealer on campus. I was really paranoid, and got out of that house as quick as I could. If they had gone after him, I would have probably been caught up in it. And I had nothing to do with it.
  16. I am not exactly sure how to read Ohio cases, but it appears that the case was resolved without a conviction of anything.
  17. There is the small matter of a ten year contract. And seriously, cut it out. You usually show more class than that. Right now this is not a scandal. Joe Paterno has not risen from the dead. One player got arrested. Under what may me some strange circumstances. Even assuming, for the sake of this discussion, that he is guilty as charged, he is responsible for his own conduct. He is 21 years old. An adult. His choices, his consequences.
  18. You really need to chill out. One player has been arrested. He has not even been formally charged yet, that happens in Court tomorrow. For all any of us knows, he might walk scott free in the morning. Being arrested is proof of only one thing: He got arrested. Period.
  19. OK, so a package was delivered to someone else's residence who also gets arrested. This is sounding very strange. Someone go to the arraignment part tomorrow and tell us what the Prosecutor has to say.
  20. Yes, the season is ruined, his scholarship is gone along with his college degree.
  21. "Alex Abreu, 21, was arrested for trafficking in marijuana and possession of marijuana at a resident on East Dartmore Street. Akron police said a drug sniffing dog detected the smell of marijuana at a delivery terminal and an undercover officer made the delivery. Once Abreu accepted the package, he was arrested. Read more: http://www.newsnet5.com/dpp/news/local_new...2MuUxanWB" No observations, no sale. Just acceptance of a package. Do not be shocked when he walks. It may be probable cause for an arrest, it is far far from what is needed for a conviction. Unless they can tie him to the sender, he takes the stand and says: "I received the box and got arrested. I had no idea what was in it." Not gulity
  22. That quantity is not legal anyplace.
  23. You are assuming fact not in evidence. The "sting" was that they delivered the packing knowing it contained pot. There is no reference so far to selling, confidential informants or anything else. Just a drug dog hitting on a package and AA accepting delivery. Now prove beyond a reasonable doubt he knew what was in the package before he opened it.
  24. According to what has been stated here, a drug dog hit on a package addressed to him. It was delivered and he accepted it. That is all we know for now. To make that case, they are going to have to establish who sent the package, and that AA in some way solicited the transaction. For all we know sitting here, he ordered sneakers on line and they put drugs into the box with the sneakers. And I challenge all of you to this: Lets say you get a package, which you may or may not have been expecting. You open the box, and it contains a pound of pot which you were NOT expecting. So what do you do? Call UPS and say you got the wrong package? Call the Police and report it, and possibly get arrested because they can? Flush the pot and call it a day? Sit there crapping your pants that the thugs will figure out who they sent it to by accident and will come looking for their drugs? Maybe you sit there for a few minutes thinking about your options when the Police crash in the door. Or maybe not. Just saying.....
  25. EXACTLY CORRECT. It happens all the time. What they do, is they ship to someone they don't even know. Then they watch the house. If the cops don't show up after the delivery, they ring the bell and say: "Excuse me, I think UPS sent my package here by accident and I am here to pick it up". OR They just watch the driver deliver it and leave it at the front door, which is way common, and if no cops can be spotted, they just take the package. It can be a tough charge to beat, and we do not know all the details. Too much assumption going on here. He is done for this season, but may not be guilty of anything.
