I have deleted this post because it obviously offended too many people. My apologies.By the way, for those of you thinking this was a bash Akron thread. You are wrong. The title isn't what is wrong with Akron fans. It is what's wrong with MAC fans?

You really need to look at it from the stations point of view.If they are running a show that is getting bad ratings, they cancel the show. Sure there are some people that like that show and are upset, but there isn't enough of them to keep the show on.If you were the station and had no affiliation to either program and yourj ob was to make the most money from advertisers, would you show the Akron game and tick off 250,000 OSU fans or show the OSU game and tick off 25000 Akron fans?Now, I don't know what happened on TV. If you are saying that they cut away from the Akron game at the end to merely show the OSU/NW pregame, then I agree, that's BS.

I agree. Is that a printing error where it says he kicked a 43 yeard FG?One more thought...all the bitching over the last year and a half about placekicking...it really seems like igor is coming around. Who would've guessed we'd be scoring in 7s and 3s instead of 6s and 0s? If we dont watch out, i'm gonna start EXPECTING us to make kicks.

I really think we have way too many bandwagon fans. These are the people that call OSU fans band wagon losers. However, they do the same with Akron.They just arrived when JD and the field house got here.Also, IMHO, the reason there isn't much activity is because people here don't post for fun. They only post serious topics. Go to another teams board sometime. People are taking about all kinds of things other than sports. Over here you just have posters and mods attacking other posters because of their allegiance to another school too. Their is no fun posting here. Posters from other schools come here and get attacked when being very polite. That sucks.Also, we need some "insiders" It would be nice if we had people that had contacts inside the athletic dept. Other sites have that. It sucks when players are gone and the only way we find out is because they aren't on the roster. Davon Moore and Al Teric Balaam are perfect examples. Nobody can 100% answer if these guys are still on the team.It would be nice to see more good information on recruiting. We have very little of that.Obviously this is the only site we have, so it is the best we have. However, it would benice to have a little more info to pique our interests.

Interesting that his dad implies he will only go to Ohio if something better doesn't come along. If I was the coach fat Ohio, I would pull the offer. We all know that happens, but to say it is absurd.That is the problem that mid-majors have. They can't get the big time recruits. They can get what the big schools don't want. Sure, you find a diamond in the rough sometime, but not 22 of them.

And Akron just got beat by a pretty bad Indiana team.GP1...let me add to your thoughts....Can't has beaten an AWFUL Iowa State team, got blown out by Kentucky, and beat up on a Delaware State team that plays I-AA.Not sure I'd call that an impressive resume at this point. -
The Mac is absolutely horrible. It may be the worst conference on D1. I know I will get attacked for that, but MAC teams just keep losing and losing bad.

This scheme sucks. However, Akron isn't able to get enough talented big bodies to field a 4-3. So they figure the best way to get a little more speed onteh field is this crap.This team hasn't improved much under JD. I am really starting to wonder about him.

Absolutely. You tip for the service. Not for what sports team they root for, or in some cases told to root for. Did she give you horrible service because you are an Akron fan? I doubt it.This goes back to what I said before. It is a freaking game.
BuckZip, I agree.Even though I had difficulty at Wing Warehouse last week....I knew it was not because of the server. Since she was a Can't Student, I tipped her the 20 percent. She was a real sweetheart.I hold her manager responsible for the pettiness...not her.
LOL :DIf you didn't tip because he was a horrible server, that is fine. If you didn't tip because he was wearing OSU colors, that is lame...I'm sure he understands that you were saving your pennies for those skyscrapers you're building. -
That is apples and oranges. Your employer can't tell you to wear a political symbol. They can tell you to wear specific colors.Buckzip, that's just what people do. If a Republican went out to eat on election day and the server was wearing a Democrat shirt, would the server expect a good tip? -

You don't think a server in Columbus wouldn't get tipped if they were wearing a Michigan shirt? Well I guess that is a little more extreme since it is the Buckeyes rival. So i guess from now on I won't tip if I see someone wearing a Can't State shirt....Oh wait i don't ever see someone wearing a Can't state shirt.

Yea, Real complaining. The man asked a question that he won't get an answer to. It's that simple.ZipGrad01, 2 years ago when over half our class didn't make the grades I mentioned how pathetic it was. I was told that I was giving out incorrect information and that there was a good chance thet they would all eventually be Zips. I was attacked and actually had a couple posts deleted over it. I was being called a liar. It got pretty bad. Well, 2 years later and I don't think 1 of those guys has ever been in a Zips uniform.I may be wrong about that, but if there are any, it can't bemore than 1-2.It is a very sore subject around here as when you want to talk about the pathetic recrutis retention we have at Akron.Does it really matter if you have the best recruiting class on signing day if none of the top players in that class ever make it? -

I can see the organization being nasty. However, I can't see the other players being part of it.I almost think it was even deeper than that. What I saw was a team that wouldn't block for Frye at all. Even when the he did get the pass off there were drops. It almost seemed like the whole team was in on the plan.
