How is that any different than here.?Over there they are talking amonst themselves. Here OSU fans have been attacked for saying good things. They aren't over there attacking Akron fans. Come on now, be a little objective.That's really nice to hear. I also had a good (really good, actually) experience with OSU fans where I watched the game. I was referring to the self-righteous blowhards over at buckeye planet.Our day will come.

I didn't climb under a rock aftre the NC championship game and certainly will not today. If we had lost today I would still not climb under a rock. And we were a 28 to 33 point underdog, based on which publication you were reading this week. If I were an Ohio State fan right now, I'd be looking for a rock to climb under. Seriously. -
JBiddy, I agree with the statement about the arrogance.Being an OSU fan too, whenever OSU plays a team "deemed" to be below them, they always crititicize the game of the Buckeyes, rather than complimenting the other team.Again, I don't think that is strictly an OSU thing. I think all of the elite teams are like that. When a top 20 team has a tough time against a mid-major, they drop in the polls and are criticized. It's not right, but it's reality.Look at Michigan. They are being teased and made fun of because they lost to ASU.Sure people are praising ASU, but the underlying thing is bashing Michigan.

That is what I said too. The Akron starters were right there with the OSU starters. The difference is the depth. OSU rotated liberally all game long. Akron doesn't have that luxury. .......YET.

Carr is already gone. He was 1/2 out before the season started. He was 9/10 of the way out after last week. He is 100% gone after today.I agree though. I think scUM wins this year. They are due.They're going to struggle from these 5: Washington, Purdue, Wisconsin, Penn State, and Michigan. I say Michigan because Carr will need it bad or he's gone. -
Let's go 1-1 versus the B10 this year. Akron played a good defensive game Saturday and the young offense got some great experience against a great defensive team. Now let's grow from this game and kick some Hoosier butt.Please don't follow up a hard fought game with a POS game against a very beatable Indiana team.

You know, the worst part about all this is that many Akron fans are not respecting Akron.Some are acting like wow, OSU is going to lose a bunch of games this year because they only beat Akron 20-2. Why are so many people discounting that there is a possibility that Akron may just be a pretty darn good team?Well you know what, Think about how much better it would look for Akron if OSU went undefeated and won the NC. They only beat Akron 20-2. I think that is prety cool.We look much better if OSU goes undefeated than if OSU loses 5 games.Also, I said I think they will lose "at least 3 games"

But I will just way this...YOU and every other Suckeye faithful was DUMBFOUNDED at halftime of this game. You were thinking "oh no, not us", and everything else you can imagine, thinking of what happened to the Wolverines last week.Don't believe me? I have dozens of Ohio State friends that felt that way. Don't tell me you felt any different. A MAC school beat up your offense, PHYSICALLY. Going into the Washington game, and your Big 10 schedule, I'd be VERY CONCERNED about that.Good luck. You're going to need it.The Red and Silver look poised to have many, many struggled trying to stay afloat this year.

skip-zip. Not that I disagree with what you are saying, but you might have a little more credibility if you don't get in to the name calling thing. At least IMHO, whenever anyone starts the name calling, they lose any "respect" I had for them. Again, that's just me and I know you don't care what I think.This is a thread about respect and here you are with your "suckeye" and "columbus state" stuff.Cicero...you and every other Suckeye was shaking in your shoes at halftime of this game. Quit the crap. You guys got out-physicalled by a MAC school. Don't believe it? Look at some clips of the way those fumbles went flying out of the hands of Columbus State players when they got hit mercilessly. Keep laughing at Michigan all you want, because it's only a matter of time before you lose to a "non-bcs" school also. Since the scholarship levels for 1-A dropped, and you were no longer able to "harbor" significant amounts of talent, and keep them on your bench, the playing field has leveled. Oh, by the way, your Suckeye friends have continued to uphold the tradition of the most classless fans in college football. And that's not coming from me, an Akron fan. I have plenty of OSU fans that are friends of mine that have acknowledged the same.
BTW, I always find it amusing that whenever anyone thinks they are making a point, they will say "I have friends that agree with me" Like for some reason that gives what you are saying some validity. I used to have a neighbor that whenever he and I saw things differently, he would say "I have 3 friends that agree" Finally one time, I asked him if these were the same 3 friends that agree with everything he says or a different set of 3 friends.Just because someone "claims" others agree with them, doesn't make them right.Just look at the current war. There are many people that agree on both sides. That doesn't make either side right or wrong.Of course OSU has some trashy fans. So does Akron. The difference is when you have 100,000 people at an OSU game and 2% are jerks they stick out a lot more than the 2% of 10,000 fans at an Akron game. Believe me, I know there are some crappy Akron fans. I have 3 friends that agree with me too. By the way, I visit OSU boards and nobody is laughing at Akron. At least not on the site I go to. they may be upset that OSU didn't win bigger or say Akron shouldn't have been that close, but nobody is "laughing" or making fun of Akron. If they were, I would be all over them. Believe it or not, they are talking about their own team. They are talking about the problems they see and where improvements need to be made. Unlike this site, they aren't obsessed with bashing another team. Well, except Michigan.I know you will bash me now and go into attack mode. Have at it. I won't respond as I have said me peace on this matter.I am glad this week is over and now we can concentrate on the rest of the season and not bashing others for feeling diferently that you do.

Cicero, a little harsh there. That is some of the arrogance that a lot of people don't like about OSU. I get what you are saying, but calling UA small time is a little low.The problem here is that many fans think something is owed to Akron. They don't understand that respect is earned. I think Akron earned a little bit of respect today. Well, at least the defense did.

The offense is putrid. JD needs to find some horses. As I have said before, Dennis Kennedy is a fullback in a Tailbacks body. He has no speed or moves.The offensive line will learn from this game and be better for it. Both QB's received valuable experience against a good defense.Onto the defense. They looked great. If we had any type of depth, the second half may have been different. The difference between OSU and UA is that OSU was still fresh.This is the most impressed I have been with UA defense in a long, long time.Be honest, if I would have told you last week that OSU would only score 20 points on UA, you would have thought we would win.I know UA lost, but when you think back to losing to Penn State 81-0 and Florida 59-0 and Nebraska, whatever the blow out was, losing 20-2 is a pretty good improvement.

He was obviously a front runner. I could care less. Be careful about believing this. I heard from a very reliable source that this guy is a 35-year old who lives at home with his parents...Talked to him on Sunday. He is still in school. He will be ready to go once the second semester starts..
