Nate Robinson is here. He will not be eligible until 2006 thus he's not on the roster. I thought I heard it was a former Buchtel kid. Is Robinson the real deal?

I agree. However, I feel the coached know this anyway, and don't count their chickens until NLOI day.

So, do you feel UA is comparable to the NFL?

Some of these guys commit to be sure they don't get shut out. Then when the bigger schools come calling they will switch. I would think their are some players on UA that at one time commited to possibly a lesser D1 school, ot a D1-AA school, then when UA offered they jumped at it. Although I agree that you shouldn't make a commitment, and then back out, I also realize that these decisions affect their entire life. You can bet if OSU is looking, so are other bigger programs. If he has a standout senior year, he is probably gone. I hope he stays true to his commitment, he sounds like a stud, and UA lacks big DT's

If we get the new stadium, that some of you have guaranteed is already a done deal, combined with the facilities we now have, and JD, we should be a top 25 team. It would be nice for the recruits in the area that aren't quite OSU material, to pick UA over BG, Pitt, Toleda, and mid B10 teams.

The roster is lilsted on the UA website. As usual, some of the freshman aren't listed. Kemme, Hight, whom we all expected, and Garner. Garner is the biggest loss IMHO. We all knew Hight wouldn't make it, but Garner looked like a stud. It doesn't matter if we sign good classes, if the best players don't ever see the field. AARRRGGGHHH

6 was NOT a respected leader of the Zips last season. He was a lazy underachiever, and every guy on the team knew that. 44 was an underachiever too. IMHO

Yeah, and they have Limbaugh, and Springer. Meaning they have both ends of the wacko spectrum. 1100 would be way too expensive for UA

I miss the old local news on 23. While other stations had the nice digital weather maps, the 23 news guy would have a map with the temps written in with magic marker. It was hilarious how dumb it was. The news itself was Akron based, but it was still hokie.

That guy wouldn't be coming to UA. I don't understand why the #1 ranked DT that year would have chosen Rutgers. Nothing against them, but I doubt we will ever see the #1 ranked anything ever commit to Akron.

It really doesn't matter how great he recruits if the guys never play. This was a common problem with the last staff too.

I tried to find some info. One site has him signing a LOI with New Hampshire, but nothing about him and Iowa? So either way he isn't a Zip?
