You have to remember what conference we play in. I mean for gripes sake, Hixon might not even get drafted. Kasparek had a great game recieving last night but for the majority of the games this year he didn't even catch a pass or maybe caught one for five yards. And he's not a true soph, he's a redshirt soph in his 3rd year. He'll be a good tight end who can come through for the Zips in the next few years but he's no NFL tight end. Mike Brake could block AND catch and he was in the league for what, 1 year?

Probably not. Doesn't have the speed and is an average to poor blocker. Maybe if he improves, but he's great for the Zips, and that's all I care about! Great game last night kid.

Soccer can play on field turf. I believe the soccer team uses the football practice field when the Zips aren't. I think a lot of schools have gone to field turf even for soccer. The only problem is I and probably a lot of people don't want soccer lines on the field. It doesn't look good. Expand the soccer stadium if need be, but the new stadium should be for football exclusively.

I know I'll take some heat for this, but LO does deserve some of this credit. Alot of his players like Hixon and Kasparek came through big tonight. Also, I would like to irrelevantly point out that LO's last season was much like this season. Blew a lot of games we should've won and went 5-3 in the MAC. The cards really fell our way this year though, and this staff obviously knows how to win the big one.

GP, I honestly think the hand only affected Getsy for maybe the next one or two games. It wasn't a serious injury, just one of those annoying injuries that you'd rather not play with but is bearable. What I do think it did was throw him completely out of rhythm and destroyed his confidence for a while. I don't think getting booed at the Rubber Bowl helped. I'll be the first to admit that I wanted to see Ferguson for a while, but JD made the right call by not making a switch and that's why he's the coach and we're not. I think he's getting his rhythm and swagger back now, and just at the right time!! It's time to put another 400 yards on NIU. See ya'll at the game!!
