  1. This is the loser, small minded, little 'ole Akron mentality that keeps the program down.
  2. From Rivals: Mike FarrellRecruiting AnalystRivals100 running back LeSean McCoy transferred from Harrisburg (Pa.) Bishop McDevitt to New Berlin (N.Y.) Milford Academy earlier this month. Recently there has been some speculation on whether the 5-foot-11, 204-pounder with 4.4-second speed would make a commitment on Signing Day to either Penn State or Virginia Tech. Is McCoy going to sign or does he plan to wait?McCoy plans to wait out a decision until next Signing Day. "LeSean has told me he isn't planning to sign with anybody on Signing Day, at least right now," said Milford head coach Bill Chaplick. "He sees no advantage to signing since he's going to be here through Signing Day next year. Instead, he just plans to continue the recruiting process and hopes to enroll in August 2007."Lots of schools have continued to show interest in McCoy."LeSean has been in contact with Penn State, Virginia Tech, Miami, Southern Cal, Tennessee, Michigan State and others," he said. "There are plenty of teams that would love to sign him, but he doesn't feel that is necessary at this point."Meanwhile, the No. 7 running back in the country has taken to his new school."Since he arrived at Milford, LeSean has been 100% focused on academics," he said. "He hasn't really talked much about recruiting at all."McCoy at one time was rated the No. 1 running back in the country, but he broke his ankle early in the season and is still recovering. Reports confirm that the recovery is going well.
  3. Cap'n, that would be absolutely amazing. Even if it doesn't end up happening, at least we now know another player of this caliber considered us.
  4. How big are we talking here Cap'n? Another 3 star? Dare I say it...4 star?? Perhaps a great local product changed their mind??
  5. Cap better get his ass back here!!
  6. There remains one "monster" unannounced verbal (not Jackson) Stay tuned... C'mon Cap...you got some inside info...share!!
  7. Both are obviously great classes. Which class will turn out more future superstars and shape our MAC Championships for the next few years?
  8. Undefeated in the last 10.
  9. Alright...but I'm telling you guys....you're selling our team short.
  10. I'll agree to disagree on whether Ohio is "good" or not. I guess we can agree that I believe we are the best team in the MAC due to our versatility and depth. Tonights win proves we can score 52 points and win. If you would have told me this afternoon we were going to score 52 points, I would've been nervous.I think we need to reach 20+ wins to have a good shot at an at-large to the dance. I think we can do that with eleven games left. Let's beat BG twice, beat the directional michigans and split the rest. 7 wins out the next 11 doesn't seem to daunting. I'm not hanging my hat on winning the MAC tournament. Its tough to win 3 games in 4 days. someone else gets hot, we get cold....its over. Lets get the 20 wins. I think OU's gonna drop a string of games coming up here. They don't have the depth to play well late in the season and they aren't as talented as Miami, Buffalo, or maybe even Can't.And I'll take 7 out of 11, but let me go so far as to make this bold statement: I don't think we'll lose another MAC game. If we pull that off, I don't think going to the dance will be a problem regardless of what we do in the MAC tourney. I told many of you during football season that that team was special and was going to do big things, and answered to a lot of critics. I see a lot of the same qualities on the court this winter. This team is a lot better than some are giving them credit for.
  11. Ohio is not a good team. 9 times out of 10 we beat them wherever the game is played. It was a fluke. We are the best team in the MAC this season from what I've seen and if we're not dancing in March it's gotta be considered a huge disappointment.
  12. Garret Wolfe was technically a senior last year, but because he was a prop he had the opportunity to earn an extra year which he did. We probably won't see him against the Zips again next year though seeing as they won't be a cross-divisional game.
  13. Not true at all, get your facts straight. The University got 350,000 cash for the game and the rest of their payment came on ticket sales. Since we sold out our allotment (although we did lower the prices), we got a pretty healthy handout from the MCB. I'm not sure what the school spent on traveling expenses and player gifts though. They could've very well lost money.
  14. OU's getting lit by Buffalo, while we're back to solid defensive play and winning against top notch opponents. Can't gets it from BG, and the Zips my friends, are back on top.
  15. Agreed. Good story and nice job digging all that up. I think what hurt the story was that any hint that it was going to appear was given at all. If you guys had just dropped this story outta nowhere today it would've been like dropping an A-bomb.
  16. Just thinking that with two potential thrashings at the hands of PSU and NC St, coming to a home opener at 0-2 is not going to capitalize on our success as MAC Champs at all. If we can somehow get a season opener in August at the bowl, we could probably come close to packing the house. An 0-2 start would kill a lot of bandwagon fan support and kill the momentum of this team. I hope our new AD has this in mind.
  17. Not really. We didn't really hear any of them. Hey Ozoner, your school and your athletic program sucks. We dominate you in football, and just because you pulled off a 3 point upset on your home court when we were having an off night doesn't mean you guys should start getting a big head. Little brothers upset their older brothers every day in America's driveways, so enjoy it while you can.
  18. Nevermind, I just saw the thread below this one. Yeah Hakes is definately here.
  19. Why is this a bad post?? Hakes is at Akron for the Spring.
  20. You know what, I caught the second half on ONN, and Ohio just plain sucks. I give them no credit at all. We just had an off night tonight and are still the best team in the MAC, no doubt about it. We're going to absolutely eat them alive in the JAR. They could only beat us by 3 on their homecourt when we're having an off night. We'll let their fans enjoy this, because we'll be the ones celebrating in Cleveland. Go Zips!
  21. Chad Mraz is playing??
  22. Thanks, you gotta pay to listen but I didn't think about gametracker.21-20!! What the hell happened??
  23. Whoa!!! Keep the updates coming guys, though I gotta remember not to yell out, I'm drawing stares
  24. Whoa! Way to come out the gate hot and shut those a-holes at the convo up. Keep it up guys!!
  25. If anyone watching the game on ONN could give some updates, I'm at work and can't watch or listen to the game.
