  1. I agree with Ten Timmy-- I thoiught we'd get to the Final Four after our player loss last winter, BUT SAM, I think Caleb had reloaded beyond anything I could IMAGINE! or dream of! I'm almost speechless! Caleb:
  2. As of this morning, there is no construction evident, so either: it's done or it hasn't begun. My hunch is b!
  3. I remember watching that LaTech game on TV, we had Bradshaw at the 10[?] with tacklera at his feet, around his waist, and one around his upper sholder wirth only his rt arm below the elbow free, AND HE THREW A TD!!!!!?????
  4. Wasn't it Jack Bidelman that made that return?
  5. The OT NCAA Quater or Semi Final game against No. Mich, it was so cold I moved to the NE corner of the Bowl to get the wind to my back; the 2nd was on a hot-humid windless nite against W. Ky [Acme-Zip Game] sweated my buns off the Bowwl was absolutely PACKED. Won both games.
  6. DZ-- hope you didn't need to pump your own stomach [if you are a medical Dr.] or have it done.
  7. Jzip04-- my vote for crab cakes goes to Hampton, Va [HS called the Crabbers], they're just a tad better than the Upper Bay. But a southeas wind in Hampton blows off the tailings dump, it'll knock your head off. [Or at least used to]!
  8. Bisbee-- You have reason to be VERY proud!
  9. P.S. On that drive by Weatover, the 1st option was Quarles, the second was Lenny Paul, they diuble teamed them both and left Westover alone-- a costly mistake. Wyatt Webb told me the options the nite he was inducted into the U of A HOF.
  10. I believe there were 2 pros on that Tenn. St. team, one was 'Truck' Robinson and don't know who the other was.YSU in the 70s were good, but like us having to go thru Wittenberg to get to final 8 @ EVV in the early 60s, YSU had to go thru us at home.
  11. Never been there, I'm sorry to say. Because if I had been there the Zips would be good.
  12. Larry Quarles hitting a basket from behind the backboard [women's gym end] as time expired to win against YSU[?] in Great Lakesor maybe Mideast Regional championship game]. Brian Westover driving the lane for a layup as time expired to beat the #1 team in the nation Tenn St in national semi-final in early 70s after being down 13 points in 2nd half. As an aside, I wanted to get a picture of the Bleacher Bums and their rubber chicken. I snapped the camera, but the flashbulb [dating myself here] did not go off; as I was working on the flash attachment [pointed at me] the flash went off; naturally the Bleacher Bums went crazy. Threw that &%$#% camers away.
  13. ZW, that was MTSU [and fatboy Kerry Hammonds], I believe, and that gets my vote for same reson, with Nate's put-up just a hair less so. The nite we trapped Mouse McFadden was a great one too.
  14. If Danny Hall says he's a good hire, BELIEVE IT!
  15. That's REALLY an old picture, he's about twice that size now.
  16. Great attitude, wouldn't expect anything else, wouldd you?
  17. Anyone know how he is doing?
  18. He's going to the same prep school as AA. Each One Teach One, at one time the Geography Dept @ U of A had a pipeline to PR.
  19. The one on Cle-Mass Rd. had current movies advertised on marquee last year, sso I assume it was open.
  20. As far as I know, Cob Cadet has made only one donation, while Ohio Ed/FirstEnergy has donated tons of $. Go FirstEnergy, and thank you. FirstEnergy has done MUCH more for the U of A than a of of local companies.
  21. 72Roo-- Newt has done a remarkable job and is worthy of much more support than he gets. I have the utmost respect for him and his teams. [Right Zipsrifle?]. I suggest we take some $ from football and put it in a new rifle range. [Watch me catch h___ for that].
  22. Don't forget Newt, the Rifle coach!
  23. HEY AEROS-- YOU'LL NEVER GET ANOTHER CENT FROM ME, HIT THOSE TWO FOR CASH I WOULD HAVE SPENT IN THE FUTURE!
