Wow! We are favored by 19.5 on Pinnacle and WSEX. We have been dominating at home, but that is a huge margin to be favored.

Akron is not the ones who certify eligibility. It is the NCAA. If his test scores and grades meet the NCAA Clearinghouse criteria he would be eligible to play at all NCAA DI-A schools. If you are eligible, many football programs, are able to get you into their school regardless of admission standards for the general student body.I think he will become qualified for Akron. -
Here would be my list:1) OSU2) Xavier3) Akron4) Can't5) Toledo6) Dayton7) Miami8) Ohio9) Wright State10) Cincinnati11) YSU12) BGSU13) CSUI had to look up Wright State and Cincinnati's records because I have not seen much on them. The rest I felt that I had at least a grasp of how they have played.

Addition by subtraction. Sometimes it is better to be without players, regardless of their ability, who don't fit into the programs philosophy. When players are removed, the rest of the team hears the message. When players are given reprimands and warnings, the rest of the teams hears that message as well. I have trust that JD is making decisions for the betterment of the program. I applaud the courage to make the moves now and move forward into spring with those who buy into JD program.

It was not the best game of the year for the Zips but it will be a W and that is the most important thing. Way to go Zips!!!

I always worry about away games in the MAC. It seems that every team stumbles at points against teams they shouldn't. I am not too worried about the score as long as the outcome is a W.Here is my prediction:Zips 78 EMU 69

This sucks! This is will do nothing for the Zips! Last week we lost seven spots in the RPI with wins over NIU and WMU. Now we play a team with a lower RPI than WMU. A win will cause us to lose a spot or two, where a lose will kill us all together. Thanks for nothing ESPN!

If given the choice, who would be the best(and realistic, knowing our RPI is 107) match-up for the Zips.I would take the following teams in order1) Holy Cross2) Evansville3) WinthropAll three teams are have better RPI's then the Zips and all three could be tournament teams.

NIU might be the worst MAC squad I have ever seen. It seems hard, in the MAC, to get road wins, but WOW is NIU bad. I know that everyone is invited to the MAC tournament. I hope we get to see them again.

The NCAAbb board is reporting WMU did win the game against BGSU. Sorry about that, ESPN still has it wrong.

ESPN has BGSU winning at WMU by the same score. Also OU beat EMU.EAST 4-0

Both teams look terrible so far. No one is making shots and both teams are making sloppy passes. Come on Zips! NIU is not a good team. If we put it together, we can pull away.

I don't know if the refs are bad or not. I am just following the gametracker, but there is a huge difference on the number of foul shots taken. Akron is 19 of 28 while Can't is 3 of 5. Lets go Zips! Keep it up 70-61.

If OSU did get to 42 points, I think it is safe to say that Florida was very capable of putting up more points. The had the sympathy finish to only put up 41.

Actually, I do scoff at them, because I can.Did they have the toughest schedule in the country? Of course not. But going undefeated up until the title game with wins against Texas, Penn State, Iowa, and Michigan is nothing to scoff at either.
Aren't we looking for Zips fans, not OSU, Can't, or YSU fans. I have no problem with people making fun of other schools. Actually, I would get a bit more defensive if people are ripping a fellow MAC school, but out of conference who cares.I know the Zips need their fanbase to expand and getting the Zero State fans to bandwagon with Zips is one way to go. I would rather have the alumni, community and current student body be Zips fans. SGM, I know you have argued this out with other Zips fans and you used multiple analogies to justify your stance. Here is how I view it. Zero State is the Super Wal-Mart that is sucking all of the retail dollars away from our locally owned store(The University of Akron). We compete with Zero State on many levels and their success does negatively impact us. I am not going to get into a big war of words with a fellow Zips fan on a Zips message board so this will be my last post on this topic, but realize many MAC fans understand that schools like Zero State and scUM are a big hinderance for the MAC to take the next steps as a conference.Congrats to Florida. I am glad Urban Myer was able to get his national title so quickly.Talking smack and attacking people who cheer for OSU is going to do nothing but drive them away from the Akron bandwagon. -
Zero State plays even with Michigan. USC exposes Michigan. LSU dominated their BCS bowl game as much as...Florida. If Zero State played in the SEC, they would not have been in the conference championship. They were exposed as an overrated media-hyped school. They didn't even have 100 yards of total offense.Auburn lost to both Arkansas and Georgia. LSU lost to Auburn and Florida. And they are both better than OSU, who only lost to the eventual National Champ? Makes sense... -
Screw Zero State! Way to go GATORS!!! I think the arguement could be made that Zero State would not be in the top 3 of the SEC. Final Rankings(mine)1) Florida2) Boise State3) USC4) LSU5) Zero State...and cheering against OSU no matter who they play does nothing but make anyone look jealous and bitter...they're always going to be "Ohio's team" and they're always going to have scoreboard. The sooner the anti-OSU crowd realizes this the better.
