Game is starting to get out of hand. We don't have the offensive fire power to come back from multiple scores down. Jacquemain looked rattled on that first drive and UConn is bowling over our D right now. I don't like this.

I hear you. He doesn't make mistakes, but over the course of the game, he doesn't do anything to win the game either. I dunno. I'd call holding onto the ball WAY too long and taking 3 or 4 big sacks mistakes.You don't have to turn the ball over to make a mistake.

And Chris is supposed to be the guy who DOESN'T make the mistakes that hurt you within the game???

And what is with the refs? They called him down and then allowed UConn to ride him 10 yards out of bounds and throw him to the ground w/out a penalty???We should be up 17-16 or at least be at 13-16 going into the half. Instead we are down 10-16. Inexcusable. Absolutely inexcusable.

UConn returns the ensuing Kickoff all the way for a TD.

9-3 UConn. Amazing, they miss an XP and then hit a 45 yard FG.

Defense getting way too laxed after a long breather on the sideline and gives up an impressive UConn drive. UConn gets the TD and makes it look relatively easy.

Igor pounds it through. Feeling more and more confident in him as the season goes along.

FG attempt coming up and a false start on it to begin w/. Drive stalled in the red zone.

Akron moving the ball nicely and finding some momentum at the end of the first. Inside the redzone w/ second and goal from the 9.Jabari has been HUGE on this drive. Drew the pass interferance to start it off and has had 3 big third down catches. Jacquemain is doing a nice job throwing the ball on this drive. He hasn't missed a pass thus far in the game. The only problem is he's taken 3 big sacks. A couple because he's held the ball too long.

Zips defense gives up one first down, but holds tough and forces another UConn punt.

Another 3 and out for the Zips after Jacquemain loses 9 on a sack on first down. Stec's punt a little better, but the UConn return man split about 6 Zips who, apparently thought he called for the fair catch and turned it into a long return into Zips territory.

UConn another 3 and out. Defense looks stout. Jones takes the punt back about 30 yards from the 7 out to around the 35.

Akron 3 and out on the first drive.Stec gets off a wobbly punt that gives the ball to UConn around the 40. But they can't get anywhere and have to punt on 4th and 1 (although they got a pretty bad spot on a busted play where the QB scramblled out of bounds).Akron picks up one first down on the next drive, but stalls out on a busted play where Jacquemain had to run all over the field on 3rd and 2 and eventually lost 3 yards. Followed by another wobbly Stec punt.UConn has it around the 30.

There's the John Stec we all know and love. Getting off wobbly floaters that go about 30 yards or so.
