He's such a baller, he has Can't at 6-7 in the MAC in one of the worst MAC fields in quite some time. I also don't want to be following any blueprints made by Mr. Pinky. I wouldn't be surprised if this is his last year at the helm of the Golden Flushes.
They gave him s contract extension at the end of last season.

Trying to compare the way Smith guarded Moses to the way Kostelac did it is apples to oranges. Smith fronted the big guy and knew that he had backside help if they threw it over the top. When Mark was in the game they expected him to play straight man to man. Moses being a much more experienced player did a great job of selling any contact between them and the refs bought it. The refs were much more willing to give Smith the benefit of the doubt due to the size difference. The main reason Smith can be effective in the post is due to his quickness. Mark at 6'11" is never going to be that quick.

There is no way Kostelac will be redshirted next year. It just isn't done that way. Big men just take time to develop.

I have a KD bobblehead you can have - unopened.
Bring the KD bobblehead and meet me at the lower concession stand 10 minutes before gametime and I will trade you some coasters.

He did finally double knot them on Saturday. Lol

I wouldn't count on his return. All that is happening in 3 weeks is a re-examination of his wrist. My guess is that they play it safe and he is done for the season.

Don't agree that this team was gutted. We'd be in such a different place if Olojakpoke/Sayles were active all season.
Also don't agree it'll take years. I think we're contending for the MAC title as soon as next year if the transfers are as good as advertised:
Olojakpoke/Sayles
Utomi/Toles/Parrish
Riak/Kostelac/Smith
Ivey/Cotton/Patton
Hester/Jackson
Hester is not a point guard. Unless something changes the point will be handled by Cotton and Jackson next season.

Great game by both QB's yesterday. The Pats defense was exposed yesterday and Philly's made the one big play that won the game. Until Foles wins 5 more Super Bowls I will reserve my judgement on who is GOAT.

Jason Taylor did it too.

Be careful what you wish for.
"What we do know is Antino Jackson, the senior point guard who was suspended for one game for an unspecified team rules violation, practiced Thursday and it appears likely he will be back on the court, though not as a starter, against the Spartans.
Weir will not say what Jackson did to warrant the suspension and would not comment when the Journal asked if it had to do with a physical altercation with a teammate."

This is potentially a very big story. You would think that intrepid Zips beat reporter at 44 E. Exchange would be all over this. Uh, never mind.
He couldn't find a way to fit it into his busy schedule. You know, the Grammys etc...

Toledo has the best team money can buy.

None of the players have any morning classes. Monday-Friday mornings are reserved for practice. Staying an extra 2 nights on the road is not an option. Too expensive. Besides, nothing beats sleeping in your own bed!

Speaking of Skippy, I can't believe believe he hasnt chimed in on this thread yet. Is he on a vacation?

I have to say I'm getting a chuckle out of all you guys jumping on the Kostolac bandwagon. Earlier in the season several posters had already written him off as a lost cause. Based on what I saw in the early practices I loved the kid. Here was a very athletic big man with a nice touch around the basket. The best part though was even though he is a very nice kid, when he gets on the court he has a certain mean streak in him. He loves the rough play. Early in the season that didn't help him. Too many quick whistles and trying too hard kept him buried on the bench. Now that he is getting quality minutes the game is starting to slow down and he is really showing what he is capable of doing on the court.

10 stitches in his throwing hand. He has ice water in his veins.

Smart decision on his part. Good health and a degree are more important.

What was really terrible about the Sayles play was after he hit the ground the ref stood there watching for a second and then gestured to play on. Meanwhile Sayles is going into convulsions! Terrible officiating. Buddy Mayborg needs to retire or go back to calling highschool games

UA in the news

It's because these high level positions are very hard to fill. What are they going to do if they fire him? All the other candidates to replace him already have positions at other institutions. Are those institutions going to fire all the people who might apply for the UA job? Not the way it works at these high level jobs. It's called professional courtesy for him to inform UA that he is looking.
