SMH. Have the ESPN scoreboard open and can't believe the score. As much as I don't want to believe this is worse than a year of iball, it really looks to be true.
What does that say about how well those 4 in the backfield were prepared as to the rules and how to make sure you stay out of those situations or recognize it quickly and correct it? I know this team is young but we've got assistant coaches all over the place. Can't we expect better than what we're getting?
To those of you who listened to the broadcast including post-game ... is it just me or did Frenchy sound irritated in general and short at times with Joe Dunn and Dave Skoczen?
Gibson 4-for-4 and leads them to an 80-yd TD. They'll figure him out but nice start!
Snide remark warning ... I wonder if he taunted UMass players afterwards? ;-)
Wow. Marshall scores twice in rapid fashion near the 80-minute mark to go up 2-1. Still about 7 minutes to go but we're staring at 0 - 6.
Edit 2-1 final. Akron now 0-6-0.
Looking forward to a stretch of years where ESPN regularly features 3 highlights from our Ws instead of having to be creative when figuring out how to 'highlight' our participation in games like today (turnover pencil).
March is so much more fun when we're Dancing. Likewise this time of year - SO much more fun when we know we have a chance and do in fact end up Bowling. Really don't like having to comes to terms with the fact that we're not going to be very good this year.
Looks like a GREAT crowd is on hand for this one (edit: announced 3617). Bummer an obvious handball led to Stanford's PK goal. Zips looked a lot better last 15-20 minutes or so of the first half. Created a lot of good chances and played well on defense. Let's see if we can break through in the 2nd half.
Note to Chad Welker - transitions to/from replays are taking too long. Speed those up a bit. Otherwise, nice production! ;-).
