  1. We did get invted to the party in the press tower too, which is also $50 a pop and business attire. I'm totally fine with that but I feel $50 for the avg joe season ticket holder to tailgate is a bit much to ask.
  2. $50 a piece AND i get to wear business casual? wow, where do i sign up? sounds like a hoot. nothing's more fun than tailgating with middle management types in dockers , button downs, and loafers
  3. have we grown since 2005? we now have a brand new football stadium that has 95% of club seating unsold and 10% of the stadium capacity has been announced as sold season tickets. home basketball games are lucky to have 70% capacity in attendance.
  4. born and raised in akron, graduated from the university. the biggest reason however has been from my experiences delivering ups packages to players over the years. i've never had a bad experience with anyone. all have been very friendly and respectful and very appreciative that i've known about them and their teams. i feel as though i'm going to my little cousin's games.
  5. let's also not forget from last year's class, that kiki is having a very solid camp with the chiefs.
  6. kiki is signed in kc to a one year contract and will be in camp with them this summer hoping to make a spot on the 53 man roster.
  7. we can take johnny long out of the mix too. yesterday he told me he wasn't with the team any more and looking to transsfer to at div II school somewhere.
  8. whiskey? i'm thinking that's a couple of 40's of busch light from the speedway on exchange.
  9. the guy has been a success off the field and will translate that onto the football field. i don't think he is going to make the same mistakes of this year twice.
  10. i'd have to go with cryin' bryan howe who not only managed to quit this year but last year too. at least this year he didn't quit quitting and stuck to it and actually quit. did i make any sense there??? neither did walking away from a full ride I-A scholarship to go pay to play ball in the 13th grade down in canton.
  11. the biggest problem with our 3-3-5 defense is our offense that gives a string of 3 and outs and does nothing to help out the defense. anyone who thinks that mackey has been "exposed" ought to have his head examined. there is only one player on the d that will flat out hit someone and it's #19. maybe he's playing out of position but he's the best player the zips have to fill the spot and he has to be on the field somewhere.
  12. i'd say groza is tall but certainly not big and muscular. he does a great job with what he has though.
  13. don't be so sure about a blowout. last year we squeeked by 13-7.
  14. i agree. there was absolutely no reason to put cj in the game. luke was on a nice steady roll. maybe he's about to take off on a hot streak again like the end of last season.
  15. isn't bg still ahead of us in the east?
  16. i'll consider it a make up for that bullshit intereference call on us where contact was made after the ball was past both the zip defender and bg receiver. that enabled bg to continue on a touchdown drive.
  17. i have seen nothing recently to make me believe we are going to go on the road and beat east leader ohio to enable us to finish 7-5. this team is not going to beat western in the finale if te broncos are playing for west championship. we'll be lucky to finish .500. forget the pipe dream of any bowl or even a winning record this year.
  18. i just for once, want to be able to lay on my couch and watch a browns game without falling asleep and missing a quarter or two due to boring offense.
  19. i wonder why gp1 was such a big crush for johnson? was he busy sitting on the bench, not playing, waiting to hand mike a gatorade or a towel? who's jock are you going to carry now that kreger is gone?
  20. And you think Frye would be playing well otherwise? Many of his mistakes have been when he's had plenty of time...you can only blame the o-line for so much...You are wrong. Without an offensive line what can happen other than mistakes, injuries and losses? It is impossible to blame the o-line enough! So you think with a decent line Frye wouldn't be doing as poorly as he is? Honestly? sgm405,You are absolutely right. Frye is what he is. Don't waste your time. These guys spent four years while he was at Akron making excuses for the guy. Nothing is ever his fault. If it's not play calling, it's the o-line or it's the defense or the receivers can't catch or there is no running game. The excuses go on and on and on and on. this from the guy who says luke is the second best qb ever at akron.
  21. thanks for tlink zff. too bad the game sucked.
