I can't believe this! How did we get selected last year, but not this year? WTF?We lost a total of 7 games all year by a combined 21 points. If that's not good enough, I don't know what is!Not to mention we lost last night on a terribly lucky play by Miami and the team handled it with total class!Everyone else will have a chance next year (including the fans, KD, and most of the team). 1350 has had the most recent games broadcast over the internet for free although they say they don't broadcast UA athletics. All you have to do is make an account on their website.Do a google search for "1350 Akron".

I take that back. Missouri State is a strong candidate as the MVC is a very strong conference.

I tried to keep in mind that there are only four remaining spots. My four votes went to UA, Drexel, UMass, and Old Dominion.I know, I seem biased towards the mid-major, but I think the Big 10 is over-rated with the exception of OSU, Wisconsin, and Indiana. All four of the teams I voted for could beat Illinois and Michigan.Other than Illinois and Michigan, I don't think there should be much argument with regard to the strongest six candidate schools.I think this list of 23 should be narrowed to the six I just described.

It drives me crazy when we are referred to as Akron University (as was done in the article)!...it's the University of Akron!Imagine Cincinnatti University instead of the University of Cincinnatti. How terrible does that sound?We must continue to climb all over others when they make this error for the sake of branding our university. Doing so is imperative to our perception at the national level.

The four seed means we wouldn't face Can't until the final if both teams made it that far. I think we could beat Toledo on a neutral court. I like the four seed myself...playing the rival school for the right to go to the NCAA Tournament...it doesn't get any better than that...especially if we win!However, I'm all about seeing us win out and having momentum.

I was listening to the game on internet via the Toledo radio statio that was the basis for another thread post. The Toledo commentators were even saying how Akron was continually getting screwed by the officials.For this to be our year, we have to win big games away from the JAR. Otherwise, we're going to be a very dangerous NIT team...until we have to play on the road. We must find a way to win big games away from the JAR in spite of all opposing circumstances (including terrible officiating).
