#4 Maryland bounced our 2025 nemesis #13 UConn, 3-0. Good riddance.

We are 0-3-0 all-time against Duke, losing 1-0 every time. This weekend would be a great time to get off the schneider. The Daisy Dukes probably won't like playing in the cold. Advantage us. Let's hope a great crowd is another advantage.

Wish we could get a signature win against a marquee name brand school like Cincy! Good for the MAC as a whole though.

And historically small schools success with March Madness has depended on having more team chemistry from four years of developing the same players in the same system, despite their being smaller, less athletic, etc. That opportunity has been wiped away. Also, football revenues now directly fund NIL for basketball players. Hence why the last men's NCAAT was dominated by the "Big Ten" and SEC...that's where all the football money is so they simply buy the basketball players.

Then it's preferred! The cruelty is the point. FIFY.

After UVA parked the bus on us in the final in 2009 and "won" on PKs after holding it 0-0 despite having very little possession or opportunities themselves, any day they lose on PKs is a holiday to me!

I recall it being the case before in which the NCAA chose the game day but left it up to the home team to schedule the start time within some reasonable window.

8-3-5 (W-L-T) all-time against ND. We owe them one from the 2002 NCAAT 3-1 loss they gave us in Indiana. I like the symmetry in a 3-1 win today at home. Zips come prepared and dominate.

Under KD we beat both Temple and Florida State in the post-season NIT, but in different seasons. I do not know the years though. That's a completely different scenario in which academics were the priority, and it was pre-NIL. It was also about one in a million that it happened at Akron. Nice story nonetheless.
