Hockey is a bad idea...too much financial investment required and little community interest...Cleveland barely supports a minor league team!Men's Tennis or Woman's Golf...perhaps Men's Swimming and Diving...although one would have to find a way to ensure that men's and woman's scholarships were equal. We already have programs for the opposing gender and to add them, additional facilities wouldn't be needed. However, replacing the slum area south of campus with a golf course would be a dream come true. What student wouldn't want a dorm, residence hall, or apartment on a golf course! Let's expand the campus map to include the area enclosed by Route 8, I76/77, and Wolf's Ledges. The cross country teams would also benefit by an on campus golf course because running trails could be integrated (that's what the University of Michigan does).I think faculty and students would also appreciate an indoor tennis facility behind the rec center.
