I was being sarcastic when i made that statement about joining a no name conference As if the MAC is a big name conference ? by what measure ? the multi bids we get year after year...

Going deep/Winning the NIT definitely gives a message to the whole nation and opens a lot of doors for the future both in terms of recruiting and earning the respect of the polls/committee for next year. One very important thing to do in the NIT is what gozips88 said. I always felt that the one thing KD could improve is developing underclassmen. We all know that we have an amazing group of 2 seniors and 3 juniors and i know that we will still be good next year but i am not sure about the year after it. For a midmajor to earn respect, you gotta be consistent and have great teams year in year out.

That is so true. Fans will not show up for regular season games next year and we are restarting from the get go.If you think about it, being in the MAC, why do we play regular season ? If one team goes 5-25 in the regular season and gets the 12th seed but win in Cleveland they will dance and if another team wins out in the regular season but have an injury or a bad night in Cleveland, they will go home.The stupid regular season doesn't even earn you any advantage, no home court no nothing.

Goddard seems to be the best solution to all our problems. He is a great shooter, and deffender. He is a great ball handler and FT shooter as well. His speed and great vision of the court makes him a potential starter at PG.KD knows all that and he sees it every day at practice, however he never plays him because KD wants this team to loose. He is a Can't state agent. He was planted in our program to ruin it after all the success in the Hipsher era. He plays the bad players and benches the good ones... I won't be surprized if Charlie Coles has a hand in this huge conspiracy too.The worst part of it all is that Goddard himself, he got a ton of scholarships, at places where he would start. Yet he decided to stay here and pay his way in school and sit on the bench... he is also a part of the conspiracy

I don't see any reason why KD should be blamed for this one. We all knew that Free throws will come some time to bite us in the a$$, well it happened to be tonight.Besides, what are the odds of the miami player making the ugly shot (off the board) from the 3 point line to win the game ? it happened tonight.

We will be a pathetic student organization if we win and don't storm the court.

This sign is amazing... I think that the guy who makes the signs (Awesome dude) just reached the peak of his creativity... I am not expecting to see any sign that it nicer and more creative. But what do i know... he's an Awesome dude and might surprise us.

I can't believe some one is discussing football recruiting tonight... even Brookhart is probably discussing basketball tonight.

Besides Kyle being a phenomenal (current/future) rowdy for a long time now, i noticed a whole bunch of future rowdies yesterday at the Q. One girl i think was Kyle's sister (i couldn't catch her name) and few other kids.But the one amazing girl was sitting on the left side her name is Merissa (sp?) and she was unbelievable... jumping up and down, screaming her lungs out and by the way she knew the players one by one and was yelling their names as they were walking by the tunnel and she was definitely aware of the fact that . The Ak-Rowdies organization started only 2 years ago... but now with those kids, we can rest assured that it will keep going for a long time.

I won't count the season a failure if we go deep in the NIT (like final 4 for example)...However, we still have to sweep that hippie team and get the trophy.

It's 12:27 and Can't state still sucks.

We stay out of foul trouble, we take the ball inside and we beat the hell out of CMU.75-55.

I was trying to talk to people at Akron so that the Rowdies bus stay for the Can't game. So far, the word is that (unless we lose our game), we should stay there to see the first half of Can't state game. Some one promissed me that they will do what they can to make us stay the whole game.

I think that the starters need to build an early comfortable lead so that KD can dig deep in his rotation to keep everybody fresh for the whole 3 days.It is also important for the bench guys to contribute and hold on to the (supposed) lead when given the chance.

Add that to Dru being selected for the All MAC Second team.Congrats guys !Now go get that trophy.

Thank you guys for the encouragement... Personally, I am hopefully graduating this summer, and i will be relocated to the NW Ohio area, only 2.5 hours away from here... I am planning to become a season ticket holder but i am definitely not planning to become one of those who sit on their hands during the games. Although i won't be sitting in the rowdies seats behind the baskets, i will still have the rowdy blood and be loud and crazy wherever i'm seated. The reason of this post is to find out if there are any alumnus (or graduating rowdies) who feel the need to create a new AK-OLDIES organization.

All i have to say is that I hope our athletic department will never make/sell a shirt with a can't state logo on it.

I wouldn't be complaining if it was. The ACC has multiple bids every year.My point is that while the MAC is tougher than Mid Con, OVC, and the MAAC, it receives the same number of bids.

Man with 2 bids for the HL i don't see any chance for the MAC to get 2. By the way, why did Butler and Wright state play at Wright state ? That's a huge advantage... Immagine if the MAC tournament is played at the JAR.

If Niagara, the team we beated on their home court by a zillion points, can win their conference, it makes me wonder why don't we move to a weaker conference and earn an automatic bid year in year out.
