Good players who don't get drafted usually end up in the development league or they go overseas. I don't see him making an NBA roster right away, but I could be wrong.
Whoever picks him up will send him to the NBA Development League where he can add some weight and improve rebounding and scoring. Zeke has upside that is attractive to the NBA. He needs to go to an organization that is welling to spend a few years to develop his skills. A young team like the Cavaliers, who are looking for help right away, are not a good fit for him.
After reading the article, my impression is that he seems to be mature, and like Cap'n said, humble. This could turn out to be a huge coup for Akron. Kudos to Bowden, Tressel, and Co.
Great addition to the program! Beaver Falls - The same high school that produced Joe Namath. If he's half as good as that guy, then we've got ourselves a solid D1 QB.
I just received a tweet confirming that former FSU DL Moses McCray has been granted a 6th year of eligibility and he will transfer to Akron for his final year.
I see there's a guy by the name of Harrison Blackledge from North Canton Hoover. I seemed to remember that former NFL and Penn State QB Todd Blackledge was from Canton and I thought he also went to that high school. I wonder if they are related.
Didn't know if anyone had seen this story.

Looks like Blackburn and Dan Connor are changing places.
I think the Zips would win. They took the OSU team from Oklahoma to OT early in the season at a time when they were not clicking on all cylinders. OK State is a better team, in my opinion that OH State. The Buckeyes seem to not be playing their best basketball as the season comes to a close where as the Zips seem to be getting better with each game. I agree with Livingston that maybe our guys lack a little confidence because they have never won in the big dance, but the Zips have the talent to make a run much like Ohio did last year and maybe even a little bit further.
I agree that they should stay with the current architecture that is evident with infocision, other buildings, but the only thing that really matters is seating capacity. Anything under 10,000 is a waste of money.
I love Frenchy too. I have been listening to Zips athletics as long as I can remember and he is the only voice I know. As long as I'm concerned, he can can keep calling Zips games as long as he wants to.
Scratch what I just said about Nick being Lou's son. Not true. Lou might be a second cousin to Nick, but that is not confirmed anywhere. Nevertheless, I still see him in the NFL at some point.
Saban may just go down in history as the greatest college football coach of all time. Of course only as long as he remains as a coach at the college level. His teams are amazing! They just keep reloading with fresh, NFL ready talent year after year. He keeps saying that he wants no part of the NFL. I'm not convinced of that. His father, Lou coached in the NFL. It's in his blood.
