Varsity “A” Sports Hall of Fame inductees will be introduced during the game.

The Class of 2018 — Jabari Arthur ‘07 (Football), Kurt Davidson ‘08 (Baseball), Caleb Porter (Soccer), Natalie Sako Switalski ‘07 (Track & Field), Sinisa Ubiparipovic ‘10 (Soccer), Bill Williamson ‘99 (Golf), and Krystin Wilson Ross‘08 (Soccer)— will be inducted during the Homecoming weekend. The Team of Distinction— the 1971-72 men’s basketball team, the Kenneth “Red” Cochrane Meritorious Service Awardees, Mark T. ‘78 and Cathy Clark, and the Mike Krino Varsity “A” Achievement Awardee, Greta Johnson ‘99, ‘01, ‘04 (Volleyball), will also be honored.

How is Porter's name not first on this list and why isn't a bigger deal being made to boost attendance?

Speaking of attendance, the MLB did Akron zero favors with a 4:30pm start for the Indians on Saturday.

  2. Is it too late to reach out to them to re-negotiate our contract, putting in a clause that states...

If Akron needs the game in an attempt to become bowl eligible or improve bowl eligibility (already bowl eligible but could get a better bowl with a W), Nebraska must travel to Akron to make up the game.

One thing I've noticed is that there hasn't been much (any?) complaining about Milwee's play calling after the first three games.  I don't complain about play calling much, simply because that's above my pay grade.  But other, more knowledgeable posters have consistently been less-than-thrilled with some of the game's Milwee's called.  Do you guys see growth here?

We could have won the ISU game if Kato were a little more accurate with his passes (12-28 IIRC).  I thought (as far as I could tell) it was a well called offensive game & a handful of times we had receivers open & simply missed them.

Edwards at running back, I feel, is another impediment to the O's potential production.  I feel more qualified in sizing up running backs, and Van really doesn't do it for me.  I don't believe I've ever seen him make a guy miss or break a tackle.  Bowden can sometimes be loyal to a fault & I think we're seeing this Achilles heel again with his insistence on keeping Van #1.

I used to think Bowden's loyal-to-a-fault thinking was what was keeping Milwee at OC, but maybe not...?

I believe I posted previously in this thread (might have started and decided not to post in the end) that I disliked the all-or-nothing pass play calls. Against ISU, it seemed like we either went for the deep ball, or no pass at all. I would have liked to see more mid-range, over the middle/7-10 yd out routes to open the game up more. It was quite infuriating, actually, especially with Kato being largely inaccurate most of the day (minus the first couple of possessions).

I think we can upgrade from Milwee, but I'm not going to rail on Milwee as much, at least not yet, this year. We beat Northwestern (although technically our defense beat Northwestern and our offense didn't lose the game).

OU blew their lead and lost to Cinci. Buffalo gets a Jolly Roger, thumping Rutgers.

Hardly Jolly Roger worthy. Rutgers is a MAC school - maybe even below the MAC - athletically, with a large east-coast market attraction, hence their Big Ten membership. Buffalo only gets the Jolly Roger on a technicality.

Meanwhile. .. Husker fans, everywhere, are coming to the realization that Akron is not the cupcake they thought.

Met a guy at our hotel that is a huge Nebraska fan. He told me Akron is probably lucky that game got cancelled. Should be noted: that was before today.

Come on haole.  It's ON Maui!  Not IN Maui. ??

Whoops - you're right. Haha. Sorry, I am in Wailea on Maui. Aloha, brah! Shaka!

By the way, I believe this is technically Akron's first win against a Big Ten squad, since OSUcks didn't join the Big Ten until 1912. Not sure what conference they were in during the 1894 season.
